No, I didn't mix up the title.

Well, we now know what Echo 1 is rebranding. This,

And the A&K PTW!!!11133t

This is awesome. I wantzorz both.
Desert Eagle Fanatic
I hope it buzzes in airsoft, too.
Fatboy 589
I wonder how that PTW will compare to the celcius.
tigertank
Reasonably priced airsoft MG42!! The gods have heard my prayers!!!!!
psychobunny
that mg42 just needs to come out already.
ultimentra
Hmmmm I wonder what the price will be for that MG42, if its reasonable then I want for my star wars loadout!
AirsoftguyNY
dose anyone smell Lipo? I know I do!!!1. when is it comming out?
sixline
AGM is really smart for coming out with all of these WWII guns especially because COD WAW is out. I ahte to bring COD up but it is true.
league 4
I've seen another picture of an ACM MG42 before, and it was actually an MG3, not an MG42. Any idea on when it will be released?
goldeneye007airsoft
Ultima made an MG42, but it was like, 2.3 K
markak47
if echo one rebrands the mg42 its going to be expensive they make everything expensive
ScoutSniper67
I hope they make it an MG3 instead of an MG42. Main reason: I have no WWII German loadout, it would be expensive to make one. But a Modern German loadout is easy and inexpensive to put together.
goldeneye007airsoft
But this is aimed towards the WWII crowd, also, that's the gun right up there. I doubt they're going to up and change it, now.

You call an extra $5-50 dollars expensive?!
You obviously haven't been airsofting enough to call echo1 expensive. At least be glad you don't have to pay $2k plus for it like with the Ultima mg42.
league 4
How do we even know this won't be cheap? Look at their minigun.....

Thats a very good point! The minigun is insanely overpriced. Did anyone actualy buy one?
goldeneye007airsoft
The minigun by CAW is about $3000, so no surprise there.

There won't be a $5 to $50 difference! When the E1 M249 came out it was about $100 more, and came in a crappy case, with no box mag!
X Di Sniper xX
I hope that A&K PTW will be good, cheap way to get a "PTW" without getting one
mountainsniper
The only crappy part is that I bet the MG 42 will come with an 8.4v or 9.6v, if any, which atleast for me, and considering the gun, is unnaceptable. You will have to put $100-$150 into it to bring it up to the right rate of fire. You're gonna BURN through ammo if you do that though...
Puffin
If the MG-42 cost $800 or less.
I WILL get it. NO exeptions.
Someone said it was rumored to be $250.
It said on some japanese site.
Gunny87
If that AGM MG42 costs $300 or lower I'll probably get one just to have it.

But yeah an MG3 would be even better.

Estimated price: $510 USD, not including shipping. It will have a wood stock though.

That's because CAW is a airsoft company based in Japan. AGM is in china.......
E1 m249 is $100 more but it does come with a box mag, I had one and it came with it. No crappy case though.
The crappy case was A&K.

They are pretty much the same gun externally.
The only differences are the rear AA sight and the feed tray with belt holder.
In fact the early MG3's were just WW2 mg 42's with a different feed tray and barrel to shoot 7.62mm or .308.
If you were the set a MG42 and a MG3 side by side you really would have a hard time telling the difference
I have read there are still a few WW2 receiver guns in service but I don't know if there is a way to confirm it or not.
I think it is a great testament to the overall design that is is still being produced and used 67 years later.
I recently read that the Italians have experimented with a kit to convert them to 5.56 mm or .223.
That would be insteresting to see

*goes to cry in corner*

I would do $400, but $510 is over my head. Well, back to the A&K M60E1
Thatkidfromfl
Haha, Does the MG42 Have a big drum on it? and what is it with AGM and WWII guns? Im glad theyre making them though.

The muzzle booster is different on the later MG3s and not all MG3's had the folding AA spiderweb sight. Mg42's do still pop up in Africa, central and eastern Europe and Asia.
The Spanish CETME Ameli is a .223 LMG that closely resembles the MG3.

YAY!!! I'm DEFINATELY getting one of these. It's still pretty unrealistic with the drum mag though, since in real life the MG42 needed a crew of 2(I think) to operate.
serano
I for one would never buy a ptw from anyone except systema
Master Destroyer
that mg42 just looks amazing. If anyone buys that gun they better have the budget to also put it up to "beast" level like it so deserves.

The MG42 and MG3 had drum mags as well as boxes. Both fed belts.

We don't need your elitism in here :D

But yea, I'm not really excited for the A&K ptw. It's gonna ruin the good (almost legendary) name that systema PTW's have created.
Puffin

Where's the charging handle???

The AGM Mg42 has no charging handle :(

thankyou

I lolz at these copies who think they have cloned the great PTW.
goldeneye007airsoft
E1 price will be at least $600. But, this price should cool down after a few months.

That would be cool if the MG42 has the quick-change barrel like the RS, that would be awesome. Pointless, but awesome.

Don't ever mention COD EVER it is the most sorry game ive ever seen. I get sad when I decide to play it and hear them say give me another clip! And I find out they are using a thompson or m1 carbine. Or the dumb tank on tank battles.. and the m3 rounds piercing tiger armor. I laugh or get mad.

They could add a quick-change barrel on their to acess your barrel and hop.

And I have studied the 2 guns closely to avoid asking this question but I cant. What is the difference between the mg3 and mg42? And yes I know one is around 70 years old and the other is around 60 years old but what is the difference?
p4ndora
Dippo, I really like your double post. It's quite informative, and I can see how using the edit button instead of the reply button would have been such an inconvenience.

Actually, back during those days, the word "clip" was pretty standard for a magazine. Hence if you find a place that sells original Marlin .22 Mags(real steel), the package says "clip-magazine" Pretty recently(last 30 years) has the proper terminology differentiating between a clip and a magazine has become exclusive.

My guess is the MG42 is going to be similar to AGM's Sten. There was that one company that made airsoft Stens and were pretty rare finds and that AGM is trying to put a gearbox inside a Shoei MG42 clone. They did that too with the STG44 and I'd say it's a safe bet that it would be priced around $250(ish) to $510 as mentioned.
