I been hearing that G&P bodies are real picky on what rails can be put on. I will just link the products and I would like to know if the rail can be adapted with no problem at all. Slight but easy modification would be alright I am hoping it will just slip on easy..

You will have to rethread with the madbull rethread tool or else it wont fit.

The threading on the G&P uppers is slightly off. It's not really a different pitch as much as its just a little taller and thread are not cut as deep. ASGI actually sells a die that will fix the issue for you with little effort but you do NOT need it.

That or you can just buy a die locally, it's a M31.8x1.5

Anyway as stated above, you don't need it. If you take a little sand paper and clean in between the threads, or a wire brush, then apply the grease and slowly screw the barrel nut on about a quarter turn, back it off, repeat each time turning about a quarter more then the previous turn til its on.

BE CAREFUL, with little effort it works though.

It's almost like the damn paint G&P uses makes up the difference in the threads. They sure put that stuff on thick.

The above information was actually given to be by someone over at SOCOM GEAR about there DD MK18 RIS II rail system and putting it on a G&P upper. Same applies to any other rail being put on a G&P upper.

With as popular as G&P rifles have become, you would think Socom Gear, Madbull etc would also sell G&P barrel nuts. People would buy them to avoid fitting them and or buying the cutting tool.

Hm, A bit too much for my own hands to do. Perhaps I will get the tool. The tool simply goes over my upper and I twist it until it simply make new threads? or does it make the G&P have wider gaps?

As I said, the threads are VERY close so yes the cutting die will fit over your G&P uppers threading.

Apply a little grease, automotive grade bearing grease works and it's cheap. Then slowly screw the die over the threads til it starts to get a little tight, then back it off, check the threads, then screw it back on a little farther til its tight, back it off, repeat til the threads are cut all the way down.

It's important that you only cut in 1/8th to 1/4 quarter turns as a time so you don't cross thread the die and trash your upper receiver threads.

Basically you are just cleaning up the threads a little, removing some of the finish, making them a tad deeper so little effort will be needed.

It's really easy. :)

Haha, I will take your word for it! It seems easy enough I will give it a try luckily airsoftgi has free shipping. Man M4 project is getting expensive...
