The vest I'm looking for is the vest you get from rentals at XAPB if anyone been there.
Yea, I can't afford a gas pistol I guess. Im not sure if I should get the Mp5k because I was also hoping to do some airsoft battles with my friends in the woods.
I've also used a MP5k in the woods. Not the best choice, but it works.
I suggest using the money for the sidearm and add it to the money for the AEG, you will have many more choices available. I'd probably go for a G36c, normal MP5, or a shorter M4, plenty maneuverable, while still having good enough accuracy for woodland.
A spring shotgun is another option. I've used them in the closest we have to CQB here, and they are capable of holding up with AEGs, and lots of fun too. With your budget there are 4 I'd consider:
1. DE M47. Cheap single shot, has enough range it should be effective in CQB, and if you can find a good way to carry it (Scabbard), probably a decent sidearm in woodland. It has a very light pump action, so you can have a decent ROF for a shotgun.
2. DE Tri-Shot (All other brands are rebrands of the DE) Bit more expensive, has around the same range as the M47, but with 3 BBs at a time you have a better chance of a hit. It's a little more bulky, but I've seen people use these as sidearms, and even primaries in woodland.
3. Maruzen CA870. Never used one, but these are supposed to be very accurate single shot shotguns. People use these in woodland without problems, and it is possible to find one in your price range, although it may take a bit to find one in stock.
4. CAW M1014/Echo1 ATS. Unless you get lucky like me, you might have to save a bit more to get this, but it is totally worth it. You may also have to clip the spring to get it shooting under 340 FPS, or maybe you won't. This has great performance, my farthest kill was somewhere between 150-200 feet, and I was having some issues with the hop-up that day. (And Loctite quickly fixed that.)
