Hi, I have been asked to post some sniper survival tips so here they are every body a-grin.gif :

1. Your not as good as you think angry03.gif ! grow some expercience before you wonder off all by your self in search of the enemy, if your new to the sniper stuff here is what you should wear: Tiger stripe BDUs, Olive Drab Doo rag, Face paint in a stripe formation like this:
/ / / /
/ / / /
/ / / /
/ / / /

2. Never underestimate your enemy angry01.gif ! I hate when new snipers complain because they apperently "had that kill" because as I say "there not dead until there on the ground and not screaming a-laugh.gif ", and just because they cant see you at the time doesent mean they wont see you a second later so don't get to pushy, a sucseccful sniper kill requires complete calm of spirit and silence, don't even whisper yes when you get that FIRST guy because that second guy will always pop out and hit you right beetween the eyes.

3. don't hesitate, if you have a clean shot take it! If you hesitate your enemy wont.

4. If they fire don't just sit there like a vegtable getting ready to get picked. move quicky and use destractions and cover to ellude your enemies and find a new place to camp.

5. Finnally NEVER EVER EVER shoot without thinking, because that guy in the bushes could be your best friend!

To be a sniper it takes hard work practice paintece and quick thinking
and trust me it is not for every one! but even if your not ment to be a sniper there is always support, spotter, infantry, or leader!

thank you and tell me what you guys think about it!

thanks

I think you should emphasize the needed patience more. I hated sniping cause of how I had to sit still most of the time. I see a lot of snipers go off running and shooting like they have an AWP in Counter Strike.

bunny hopz0r!

hmm im thinkin that perhaps this should be a major objective/role of a sniper (don't hurt me if im wrong): having a radio and basically bein the eyes of the main element...in addition to chucking bbs at the enemy as well

Punkid
Yeah...and
6.Don't try side strafing frequently to "Dodge bullets"
7. Don't jump to get a better look at your target
8.Don't try to be master chief

Didn't you JUST get your PSG-1? I'm confused....
Also, this shouldn't just be about snipers, EVERYTHING you said can and does apply to anyone on the field. Even the guy with the TOP M60 DLX that plants him bipod on a log and doesn't move for the rest of the game or the kid in SWAT clothes with an ICS MP5 with 5000rnd electric drum mag.... ya know what I mean? But, it's still good, solid, advice.

Thats some nice advice. My friend should probably take a look at that. He wants to be a sniper, he likes climbing and sitting in trees for freaking hours on end. Of course, he's not the sneakiest person of all man kind either. a-laugh.gif

If you know any snipers or ex-snipers ask them how far they may move in a day, in bad cover. A hundred meters? A few hundred? Patience is key. You can have accuracy, stealth, and good intel, but without patience you wont get that shot.
whitefeather99
that isnt truly the best way to apply facepaint. If you are going to aply it try not to make it to orderly, and apply light colors to deep parts on the face and vice versa.

That is what you use an upgraded SG-1 for, long range+ semi and full auto= great gun for those times when a bolt action isnt enough, for everything else theres Master Card

personally for me a bolt is always perfect if you can plan your steps ahead. what I mean is that don't just throw yourself head first in a gamble to see if you don't get hit. hell if you face a AEG with a bolt in the right hands it can be better. a-cool.gif

nice post. wear do you think is the best
place to snipe? Are bushy trees good?
I tried high grass but it doesn't work. becuase
they allways find me and I get either killed or
have to run away with AEG bullets flying past my head
