I was just browsing for gear the other day, and saw nvg's with those head straps, since I have nearly perfect night sight, I don't need nvg's, but I could use a 4x24 head mounted monocular (well, anything, as long as it has over x4 zoom)

because im always peeping at long ranges, so instead of packing binoculars, why shouldnt I just havea head mounted monocular? anyone know where I can get a $20 or $30 one? do they even make them?

You could probably ghetto rig one for cheap and a lot easier.
Renegade Covert Ops
thats what I was thinkin, but I cant find any head straps...
masamune
actually your just in luck, there is some airsoft company that make a reproduction PVS 14 (nvg monocular) that is X4 zoom and not NV

all you need to do is find one in stock and get the bracket to mount it on your helmet and not the guns
Renegade Covert Ops
ehm... that thing kinda costs $150... a bit too much for my tastes.
DFish
Thats cute Mas. If you ever see it in stock let me know.
USMC grunt
wtf?
Gen. 3 for $150 yeah right.

This is the best Gen. 1 NVG for the price, from what I hear.

One guy told me about the monocular.
But you need a better IR illuminator, which is another $100.
But its good for 50m.
Lenses are available for it, but theyre useless if your IR stinks. Because you get a blurry picture.
A good IR shines a beam of infra red up to 200m. And its picked up by the monocular.
If its a good monocular you can mount it behind your red dot.

as cheap as you will get.

The head mount is usually 120. Yukon made one.

Read the censored2.gif first post.

So he will spend $150 on something that doesnt work, when there is a real NV monocular for $170.
DFish
He doesn't want NVG. He wants magnification.
Renegade Covert Ops
yeah, just magnification is what I need, nvg's just waste money, space, and the major concern of getting it broken.

I found cool little monoculars for like, $20 bucks, but no good head strap.
