Well as the title says, I'm looking for an LPEG that is uses the tokyo marui design for a "for fun" project. I am going to do some heavy modification to the gearbox and hop-up and hopefully I can get it shooting 350-400 w/.2g bbs. I plan on reinforcing the gearbox with Epoxy and strips of steel, and I intend on replacing the bucking.
So anyway, I am looking at these: http://www.kapowwe.com/boyi-m4a1.html http://www.kapowwe.com/f4boys.html http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/DE_M4_CQB_..._p/de-m83a2.htm Anyone have any suggestions? This post has been edited by 6mm man: Mar 11 2010, 06:01 PM -------------------- ~6mm man

Hahaha brings back memories of my attempt at this. I tried to do it with a Well P90. The barrel and hop-up were very easy to change out (Madbull 6.03, echo 1 hop-up unit, systema bucking). But the gearbox was the main problem. The P90 had a smaller gearbox than a regular one. So I ended up buying an echo 1 gearbox shell and using parts from my old MP7 and other random parts to fill it up. Hooked it up to a 9.6v intellect and it shot like a $200 gun. Now keep in mind this took months of agony, planning, and VERY frustrating work. I don't know much about those guns and how easy it will be, but maybe something I did may help you along the way. Good luck to you. Oh it's worth it in the end, I made a profit of $65 and it was an extremely rewarding experience. Plus I still see the gun occasionally.
