I guess its pretty good for 200 fps. the only thing that drives me away from this is that I actually have a spring pistol that goes at 175 fps and it was like 20 bucks. And also my friend bought a 300 fps shotgun from kmart for like $30 so yea. I do wish I did hardcore airsoft, but that's just not a reality right now. I got like 2 16 player matches coming up so yea......juuuust wondering, I don't buy guns much so I don't know if this is a good deal or not. |

FPS has nothing to do with how good a gun is, and that gun is probably complete crap. Save up for a real AEG.

Do you see all the negative reviews? There are better inexpensive shotguns to be had. Look at some of the previous threads in the section you posted in.

Mossberg M550 -340fps -$25 -Will Last Longer than that other gun -Can shoot .20g bbs -You can probably buy them at Walmart -------------------- |

This is what you want if you want a single shot shotgun. But a tri-shot would be a better investments and loads more fun to shoot. -------------------- "Boy let me tell you something, this ain't nothing"

We should have a rule for immediate locks on any threads asking about whether or not to buy a springer gun that is NOT
-A High quality shotgun -A sniper rifle -A high grade springer, such as the Tokyo Marui HGHU series. Seriously, there seems to be 2 "should I get this $15 springer pistol?" threads every day. And the same with sniper rifles... Seriously, there are like 8 spring sniper rifles even in production, I think folks should just do some reading. And for the OP: You will regret purchasing any gun that is not either a relatively high end AEG (or at least a JG), sniper rifle (as a rule of thumb, don't spend under about $120 for one), or GBB/NBB pistol. Guaranteed. With the money you would have wasted on shipping a $17 shotgun/pistol combo to your house you could have very nearly bought an NBB pistol that meets your unnecessary FPS requirements while also actually serving some kind of function on the field. The only thing a spring pistol is good for is slaying pie tins. If you absolutely have to buy spring weapon, buy a Marui HGHU (high grade hop-up) pistol. They are by far the most detailed and well-built springers out there and their hop-up will keep a .25g BB floating out to 50-60 feet with incredible ease and accuracy. |

Jesus christ I hate this forum already do you just expect me to know this before you posted it or something? everybody here (with the exception of some people) is a snooty I don't care about the fps, but when you are shot, you have to FEEL the butllet, and when it's cold you naturally wear a jacket, and can't feel anything under 150 fps. also, I am not a hardcore airsofter, if the gun works, has an ok range, and the enemies can feel it then I'll take it. I'M NOT GOING TO SPEND $120 FOR A SPORT IM ABLE TO PLAY ONCE A MONTH AT THE MOST, AN OKAY SPRINGER WILL WORK FOR ME. there has been some good advice that I took into account while reading this, so I wanna thank some of you guys. oh, and here's some advice, when you give someone advice on something they don't know much about, don't treat them like they are retarded. ffuck Well, I learned my lesson about asking a simple beginner airsoft question on this forum. defiantly not coming here again. Hey, guys? If someone's looking at an LPEG for $60, telling them to save $75 for a trishot or $90 for a low-end AEG might be reasonable, but asking them to stretch $17 to $90 isn't very logical.
Sorry if you're getting frustrated, Fautzo, I don't think that some of these people realized what section they're posting in. If you want a good springer with decent range, I'd go for a UTG MK23, they're ~$25 off of Pyramyd Air. They're great quality and have good range and performance for a pistol, and would definitely outrange and outshoot that shotgun. It comes with an extra magazine, too. If you want to order off of Amazon, you can get the pistol with its extra mags and another additional two mags plus a speedloader for only $35. You can expect around 40 feet of range (not very consistent, but still pretty good) when using good .2g BBs. You should also look at the FAMAS and M14 springers, both of which are pretty good. I've run .25g through my FAMAS and gotten 10/10 accuracy at 60 feet. Not at all bad for a springer. There's a guy on here called Dmitri Kalashnikov, and he reviews a lot of springers. He did a review on the M14 and you should definitely check it out. Easy, bro. No one expects anyone to know everything right away. And no one is attacking you. If you just want a springer, that's fine. But all you had to do was do a little tiny bit of reading to see what springers are good. And I never said you have to spend 120 bucks. I specifically said that if you are going to go with a springer that I like the Marui HGHU guns and recommended them to you...
Also, I've had a chance to shoot the CYMA FAMAS springer too. Pretty decent. It could hold its own rather well in a springer game and I would recommend that as well, or more likely a shotgun since your hand remains in a position to charge it at all times. With the FAMAS you have to release your grip and awkwardly pull back a handle on top of the gun. So shotguns are probably win for your purposes since they're gonna have the highest potential ROF to give you the edge over the pistol/rifle users. First and most importantly, do not use Our Lord's name in vain. Obviously you've never been in a work environment. I get :pain: all the time from my boss about stuff I was never taught to do. But you take the crap and move on. I don't believe you'll find any other forum that is more friendly than ASF. In my opinion ASR is full of :censored2: moderators(you know who Im talking about if you go there). I understand why he does his actions but its the cocky remarks the moderator makes in threads all over the place. I love the moderators here. They are very helpful and run an amazing forum which I have been educated inifinitely by. But back to the main question: I'd say go for the gun. Heck you don't have to listen to us, the gun work break easily as other idiots say. You'll be fine. Plus you'll learn lessons of purchasing quality items which is a priceless lesson. Good luck.
Oh and to all the people who posted saying get an AEG, take your elitest :pain: attitude somewhere else, preferibly the AEG section. You stay there and rant about your KWA M4 while we attempt to help out new players to the game. -------------------- "Boy let me tell you something, this ain't nothing"
