Since it's illegal in SG, I guess you have to play it at your home backyard if you own any airsoft guns.

the main problem is more than 50% of the singapore population live in apartment block
call "HDB flat".....

there isnt going to be a backyard... even if there is one there wouldnt be one big enough

I think CS or some fps will be better

nope... last time used to... until an uncontrolled outspread of airsoft

(it became everyone's favourite toy... and kids have no age limit of purchase, meaning
you see 7 year old playing with springers)

the police came down harsh and banned all airsoft... damned they can limit age or licensed sale

I think there is a big market in singapore... everyone is deprived of airsoft

there is no airsoft, no paintball etc sort of game where players shoot each others

but there is one problem... the apartments is too close... any naughty kid can actually
shoot into others window... on the opposite block

if you load the gun with metal bbs... you can smash others window up real good

yeah, I live in singapore, and I want an airsoft. there's a shooting club at safra yishun that lets you use 4.5mm air rifles and air pistols, but no airsoft. I heard of a paintball competition at safra last year, but you have to be 14 years old, and since I was 13 last year...sadness. btw im american, so if any of you criminals know how to smuggle an airsoft that might have metal parts through customs at LAX I'd be real happy

I have friends from Singapore who come to Taiwan to buy and play airsoft. I don't think they can bring them back though, but I have heard a KJ M9 can be sold for twice the price of the real gun in Singapore.

As I know, if it's illegal be prepared for anything. Good luck man!

Anyway, any of you have any airsoft contacts in Hong Kong? I really won't mind flying over to HK to play an airsoft game. Just gotta buy a gun over there and I'm ready to go!

I think there are many airsofters just not enough public education and responsible airsofters around.

Airsoft was legal in Singapore and parents allowed their kids to run amok with airsoft terrorising everyone and then some. Sighz.

Or could be some mole? Heh heh

ha... the contact I suppose refers to me? I am a SGean living/working in Hanoi, started this Airsoft hobby with few of my Vnese friend and staff. early 2006 discovered some vnese who buy airsoft gun illegally and didnt have any chances to play. so I pop in, communicate with them for a while and decided to kick start this airsoft in a big scale.

they started the only vnese forum (www.ttvnol.com/forum/airsoftvn.ttvn) and I created a vnese / english airsoft site (www.freewebs.com/airsoftvn/) to better position ourselves with the local authorities.

SGean who visit hanoi or hcmc frequently can play with us. please contact me if you're interested. I happen to know a SG airsoft forum but only restricted to registered member.

well, hear from you guys soon!!

edit: so far not illegal to play the game but owning toy gun is. the maximum fine is 50,000vnd I think as I cannot recall what my vnese friend said when he check with his cong an friend.

No Python, I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about Mr. Nam. Down in Ba Ria-Vung Tao, everyone says that the police will confiscate your weapon and force you to tell them who sold it to you in order for you to go free. You know Vietnamese cops, they'll beat you first and ask questions later. Then beat you again. a-jester.gif That's why nobody sells the guns publicly. They're all saying that they'll be arrested. 50,000 VND isn't a lot of money, I wouldn't mind paying that. Could I call you if there is ever a police incedent with my airsoft gun? You can't play airsoft without owning a gun. But in short, no, I was reffering to Mr. Nam. Try PMing TMFreak. I hope to play a game while I'm over there. PM me if there is anything I could help you with.

oh, I m sooo ashame a-laugh.gif but I think no police will whack u for a toy gun, unless its drugs. they will jus keep your gun and ask u not to buy again. there was a case when a hcmc guy transport his gear back to hcmc and being stopped and checked at danang where the worst policemen you'll ever seen. still he get out without a scratch a-jester.gif

You have some Cong friends? I only know a couple of police officers over there. I still can't get out of any trouble over there. And you know that in the old days the government hated Southerners. (which I happen to be) I have been noticing that southerners can become officers now and that they are lightening up on rules. Like I heard that in some areas, you could actually light fireworks this year for Tet. Anyways, do you happen to know how soon will we get airsoft to be legal again? I remember buying a couple of springers back in 2,000 the airsoft guns were perfectly leagl. The lady had a whole case of them, including shotguns. Silly me, I wasn't into airsoft that much then so I didn't buy a lot of them. Speaking of which do you know when Mr. Nam will ever get any shotguns?
Thanks.

I don't live in Singapore but Python used to, try PMing him. He might know. Make sure that you say that you're in Singapore or else he'll think your in Vietnam. And if you can't get a hold of him, is there a such thing as PC dusters over there?(canned air just in case you didn't know) there is talk about how to create a adaptor to fit those cans and the PC duster is supposed to be the same as HFC134a. Just take the top off of an EMPTY can of HFC134a or green gas and find a way to modify it to fit on the PC duster can. You might be able to take something like a nail maybe and stretch out the bottom half of the HFC 134a top. That should fit over a PC duster top snuggly. After that, remember to add some silicon oil to the adaptor and fill your gun. It sounds a little tricky.
