  1. Nice guys. Thanks for the valid feedback :) I guess in the end it does come down to each individuals pref and needs. I personally, like I mentioned before, scrape up my shins pretty badly and have a habit of banging them into hard surfaces and most times it's not really just surface damage for me it can lead to pretty bad cuts. So for a guy like me I guess I see the necessity but overall to what the topic was concerning I see your points and appreciate all the feed back. ^_______________^
  2. Mine wasn't adapting to well when I started off so I had to improvise haha not exactly sure if that is good for your knees though...are you sure your nerves didn't just completely die? JK
  3. I actually work for AMS ( AirsoftMegaStore.com ) :) and I have been using FOX shin guards that I bought back in Mammoth for the past 6 years now and they have saved my shins from sooo much pain. But the problem is that they weren't created for the purpose of being used with airsoft so after 6 years it's beginning to wear out a bit on me. It still works well but I have noticed more in recent games that they come undone under a lot of stress, for the lack of a better word. But here is an image of the ones I use. I primarily run as DMR so a lot of prone movements and running and dropping real quick. Try not to stayed camped in one area too much. But understandably I come into contact with the ground a lot. hence why my call sign is DIRT or one of the many reasons why but that's a topic for another day haha These work well with my boots due to the velcro straps but still arguably not really perfect for it but gets the job done. I'll try to upload some pics of me actually wearing it with my gear.
  4. Exactly, what I mean by airsoft specific is to really make some that work with boots or something that clings on better for the harsher environments we play in vs what speed ballers will be used to. Mountain biking guards and even down to paintball ones that you can wear under your pants are good but your not necessarily sliding around the desert ground through all those rocks wear those. They are more impact resistant. Protecting the knee is good but also protecting the shins should be important as well. That's why I was wondering if there would be any general interest in something that is light weight and not get in the way but still stays on firm and allows a more full on protection for the shins over just impact protection on the knees. I have come across a few in my searches but some are made for riot gear or are really heavy duty. So again going back to airsoft specific we would need shin guards that are catered more towards what we do? or is what is out there good enough and we just make do?
  5. What do you guys think about shin guards vs standard knee pads? I personally love that extra protection on my shins. Judging by the marks on my shin guards (which are FOX racing Mountain Bike shins ) I can see how much they protect me from scuffs and marks. But from what I could find there really isn't too many airsoft specific choices or people running them. Is this because there is cheaper paintball alternatives or even like myself other applications where we can pull them in from? Or should there be a company that starts to manufacture more airsoft specific shin guards? Your thoughts are welcome...
  6. http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=25580. In case you guys are wondering I found out this works well and fits the G&G M14 EBR well
  7. G&G M14 EBR LONG want to mount a scope but do not want to just mount scope rings on to the two points of rail. I want to put some kind of Cantilevered Sight Base on it then mount the scope flush as low as possible. Any suggestions? The real steel ones are like 200 Bucks. Found one Optics Planet for like 51 but not the same and is limited to the mounting. Any other alternatives you guys know about?

  9. why are you selling the M14 EBR? I might be interested in buying it off you but I can get it wholesale for a lot cheaper how low can you go on the price for it? And looks like you changed the connections out to deans?
  10. Hey Great Review, I am not sure if your still on this forum or not but either way loved the review. It has been awhile since you used these any long term assessments? Would you recommend something else?
  11. Loved it great review :) but for the money that you are spending on it, man the parts seem really crappy. The stock MBB401 that I look at recently seems like it has a better quality internal to a degree than this gun. But still I do want one...now all we need is someone with the ARES MSR338 model
  12. Sounds good guys great feedback. I am somewhat limited on space as I have to work around other areas but based on what you guys are saying it sounds like a 100 feet of distance is what I should be aiming for at least to basically sight in a gun to tell if it is curving due to a bad barrel or to see if the hop up is working for either AEG or SNIPER correct?
  13. Of course I do >.< I was merely thinking about modding it to take an external tank and run compressed air through it instead for consistency and power with heavier BBs.
