  1. very helpful. thank you. ill probobly go with the fnx 45. but ill take a little look at the TM M&P
  2. Hi all. Ive been looking alot lately at choosing a pistol for mounting an RMR, but as it turns out there are ALOT of factors. im looking for a durable gun, that can handle an rmr installed on the slide. also somethig that performs well, and doesnt require a ton of upgrades. Bellow are a list of guns and my thoughts. vfc Fnx 45 - this one has a plate on the slide where I could easily mount an rmr. however this gun has pretty bad reviews, ive heard of alot of issues with the mags, barrel wobble, stuff like that, but maybe they fixed it? I can up upgrade the barrel and hop up since they are compatible with marui. Emg vs Tm m&p 9 - im fond of the m&p. the tm shoots very low fps, and would need a ton of upgrades to up the fps and make it compatible for an rmr. however it is a new edition tm, and has tremendous potential. the emg looks more ready to go, but it has terrible reviews from what ive read. just bad all around. 1911 - not interested usp - not interested tm glock g17/34 - not really a glock fan, again would cost alot of money to make it work well. they do make slides that work with an rmr. but considering I don't care for the gun and its high price, it seems like too much. thats about it. I originally ran with an m9 ptp tac with a utg rail mounted on it with a burris red dot. but the holster broke and the gun was lost... hus the reason I want something woth the rmr on the slide. also, am I putting to much emphasis on getting an rmr pistol over getting a gun I like? I really like the beretta, but cant do rmr with it. all the other options, especially the TM ones, aeem so expensive. the only one that really stands out is the fnx 45, but it could be a crap pistol for all I know. any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated. thank you.
  3. Hey all. I had a question regarding the best gun options at the moment at each price range for a friend. At the end of the day its his decision as to what hes willing to spend and what he'll want, I just wanted to have some suggestions ready. Im very open to different model's, AK's, M4's, etc, but I want to make sure hes spending his money the smartest way possible, im not looking to drain his pockets, so ill need some help. For the following gun recommendations, the requirements are this. - preferably full metal, or as close to the real thing as possible, nothing that feels like a toy/ cheap - something that has SOLID internals, the less upgrading needed the better, something that will shoot crisp and last as long as possible. However if it has potential to be upgraded thats fine. Im very fond of Krytac for this reason. -price range, $200-$350 - even though im asking for good stuff, its important that its also on the more affordable/value side, ( he may not want to spend more then $200, but the extra $100 would get him alot probably... ) 1. which m4 size rifle 2. which AK 3. which LMG/SAW 4. which gbb pistols 5. which smg *notes about him. I only played with him once and he liked to shoot ALOT so I though a support gun/role hed enjoy, most of the A&K LMG's don't look too good thou. I have the DMR role totally covered so thats not needed. He did mention that if he were to buy a gun he'd want something not too big or heavy, so mobility is important to him. The only issue we will play almost all field so a SMG is probably a very bad idea, last thing you want is to constantly be out ranged all the time. *also for a pistol, again, it'll be a personal choice for him, what are some solid built pistols that are still affordable? no cheap crap guns. *Also, what's a good plate carrier? He is prone to over heating in the summer, so what is comfortable in the summer and give mobility? Thanks for the help! I know this is a pretty hefty question, but alot relies on it.
  4. Guges, I like the look of that holster. whats the name of it? also, how does it retain your pistol securely without it bouncing around while on the move? to the others, red dots on pistols are becoming more popular and have advantages. yes, they make holstering harder, but their are various other pros with them. but, in the end it comes down to preferance. thanks for all the input everyone.
  5. hello all. I really am looking to putting a red dot on my KWA m9 tactical ptp . There are a few different options for this but not many. I will most likely be framing mounting a rail, not to the slide. This large object will protrude on all sides, and will hold a red dot reflex sight on top of the pistol. Im looking for a holster will work for it in airsoft. I want to be able to run around with the gun and not worry about it falling out. the mount will look like this or this http://www.amazon.com/UM-Tactical-Sight-Mount-Universal/dp/B00L5QZ4YU For answers ive found this. a universal mount that should attach to my gun, that comes with a custom holster designed for that mount. problem is review says its not designed for heavy use. http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/10/josh-santomieri/review-um3-pistol-sight-mount-holster/ any ideas? I really need the help, I really want to find what works rather then ordering alot of different accessories that are mis matched and/or arent effective. Thank you!
  6. HELLO ALL!!! Wow its been a long time since getting back into airsoft.. just a little introduction here first... I started out in this hobby, completellllly obsessed. me and 20 guys all got guns together, over a very slow process, in our early teens... now im 27. One of the greatest moments of my childhood was playing airsoft, grew up with single pump springer pistols. I then bought a large tokyo marui aps2 sniper. None of us had automatic guns, just running around in back yards getting in trouble and getting the cops called on us. ended things quickly.. ANYWAY. Here I am... 15 years later. The sport since has grown ALOT, and so has my cash flow. But no need for parents permission anymore! haha so.. I need your help getting started. I need a rifle, and am sort of torn on what to get, and know virtually nothing when it comes to all the brands and types. ill try to break down what im looking for as easy as possible PLAYSTYLE: Although I have always embraced being the sniper as long as I can remember, I want to get something a little more well rounded. I know though that if I don't get something with stealth, long range shooting in mind.. I will be unhappy and want it. I am very patient, and strategic, im also quite a bit of a loner. Sniper would suit me but I feel I need more versatility. id like to take up more of a scout, long range support role. GUN CAPABILITIES: I feel that strong scopes are simply unneccessary for airsoft, also, a bolt action is too limiting to be your first and only gun. I am looking for something that accells in mid to long range. not another m4 or ak. I did hear that barrel length isnt everything in accuracy for long range in airsoft thou... Id like to get something accurate, powerful, that could be used in a sniper setup, but also goot in mid range shoot outs in fully auto. I also wouldnt mind if the gun could be used in cqb scenarios, although I wouldnt expect it to be great at it. im not looking for the "everything do it all gun". If I must I will get a smg for that. TECHNOLOGY: I don't know whats more accurate gbb or aeg, but AEG looks like the best place to start price wize and for practicality. PRICE: I am willing of spending up to $600 on the gun. I believe in spending good money rather then buying multiple worse guns. id rather just get something good from the start. PERFORMANCE : right now I am into more performance vs realism. if a really long rifle isnt neccesssary for the long range accuracy gains, id rather not do it. Same goes for the scope, Id like something with some kind of magnification, but not alot, and an easy to see crosshair. some guns ive been looking at, although I have no idea how to compare them KWA SR10 KWA SR12 KJW KC-02 G&P SPR/A ...the trouble is I really don't know enough about these companies or the technology put into the the different rifles to decide. what performance aspects should I look for, and which guns should I look at? I want to make sure im actually getting something that WILL classify me as a "scout" or something similar.. I don't want something thats just larger for the sake of it.. I want something that will give me the extra range and stealth capabilities from a performance aspect. I know im throwing alot out there, but this is my first post in a long time, my posts will get more specific over time with your help. THANK YOU!
  7. Hi, I don't know much about CA or TM because ive never owned either type of gun. I am buying an M16a3 and upgrading it completely. getting full metel kit, upgrade gearbox to 400 fps, barrel, all internal. I would like to know which base m16a3 is best stock and which will give me the least problems, between the CA and TM m16a3. Maybe a list of pros and cons of both. Im looking for more fact then opinions here. I don't care about price. Thank you. Oh and if anyone knows all the upgrades im looking for please list them. basically all internals of m16a3 and all metel. thank you.
