  1. Unfortunately they closed sometime last year. This is their old Facebook page and this is their old website. There is a new field in Fairfield however, which is pretty close to Vacaville and also has a Facebook page.
  2. Oh, ok I did that and it worked. That was a surprisingly easy fix. Thanks a lot.
  3. Hi, I have a DBoys M4 that is not firing. We were using it at a game and it stopped working. It's making this high-pitched metal grinding/squeaking noise when you pull the trigger. I've tried changing the battery but that doesn't seem to help. As can be seen in this picture, the piston thing that comes out of the gearbox is locked forward, so that when the gun is put together its extending past the part of the hopup where the BB's are fed in. Also as can be seen in these pictures, the white piston thing inside the gearbox is also locked backwards. So I'm guessing either something is internally wrong or broken in the gearbox, or it has something to do with the motor or motor height. I'm not really sure which one though, and I don't want to take it apart any further unless I have to. If anyone knows what the problem could be, or what I should do to fix it, please let me know. Thanks.
  4. So I was soldering deans connectors onto my new batteries and the same thing happened. The bare wires touched for a second and it sparked and smoked. I haven't charged it yet, I was about to make a new thread on here when I saw this one. I'm just wondering if its ok to charge the battery. The battery is a Turnigy 2200mAh 2S 20C. Thanks.
  5. I don't really know if it stays in the hopup when its out of the gun becuase I never really gave it a chance to, but it doesn't fall out of the gun. It might have been the c-clip or maybe it just doesn't fit well, but I think it will be ok. Thanks for replying.
  6. Hi, So I was taking out the barrel and hop up assembly from my M4 because I was trying to clean the barrel. While I was doing it, something got caught or something and the barrel pulled out of the hopup unit. I put it all back in but its kind of slippery and the barrel can rotate in the hopup unit. I lined up the barrel right, put the little copper colored ring back on, put the plastic clip that fits into the grooves back on, and put the gun back together, but I'm just wondering if it's all gonna stay still or if I missed something. Also, there was all this dark grease outside of the nub and in the hopup unit. I should just leave that in there, right? Thanks.
  7. I would probably play there, depending on how much the cost would be. Also, Gamepod is opening a field in Antioch or somewhere around there I think, so it would probably have some competition.
  8. Ok, so I'm still trying to decide if I want to buy the ones wired to Tamiya's or just rewire all my guns, batteries, and chargers to deans. Either way, is there anything else I will need to buy, such as a voltage indicator? And will I need heatshrink if I'm going to solder deans connectors on? Here is what my order will look like so far: Either: 3x Turnigy nano-tech 1800mah 2S 20~40C Lipo AIRSOFT Pack Or: 3x Turnigy 5000mAh 2S 20C Lipo Pack (USA Warehouse) Or: 3x Turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 2S 25~50C Lipo Pack 1x Turnigy Accucel-6 50W 6A Balancer/Charger w/ accessories 1x Hobbyking 105W 15V/7A Switching DC Power Supply 1x Lithium Polymer Charge Pack 25x33cm JUMBO Sack 1x Nylon T-Connectors 10 Pairs (20pc) Also, is there any reason to buy this charger instead? The turnigy one can discharge too, right? Thanks for all the help.
  9. So I looked around at the other turnigy batteries, and the thing is most of the higher mah ones come with no connector. Do you just get some tamiya connectors and put/solder them on? For example, this one. Or would I be better of getting something like this and this adapter? What should I change it to? I don't really want to replace all the connectors on my guns.
  10. Ok so after reading your posts and articles about this, a lot of my questions have been answered. I actually just read that earlier today. My M4's are the RIS version so they have a PEQ box. So I guess I'll probably go with the brick type. So would buying something from this section be a bad idea? The prices don't seem that bad. I get that 7.4v will be ok, but I still don't really get how the mah carries over. Basically I want to know how long a Li-Po will last before I have to charge it. For example, how would a 1800mah 2S 25~50C Lipo compare to an 8.4v 3800mAh NiMH? Thanks.
  11. Hi, I want to buy some better batteries for my guns because the ones I have right now are the stock Ni-Mh's that came with my guns and they don't last very long. I want to get Li-Po's because they are cheaper and apparently better than Ni-Mh's. I have a few questions about them, though. My main question is whether Li-Po stats are equivalent to Ni-Mh stats. Does a 7.4 Li-Po shoot at the same ROF as a 7.4 Ni-Mh? I don't really want a high ROF, but 7.4 that might be kind of slow. Also, does a 1800 mah Li-Po last as long as a 1800 mah Ni-Mh? I currently have two DBoys M4s and a DBoys M16. If anyone could answer my questions and also suggest a good battery that would work for all three guns and would cost around $20, that would be great. Also, a good charger that balances and is not too expensive. Finally, do you think a Li-Po sack is necessary? Thanks.
  12. Actually I just have some NiMh-s that came with my guns and some random Ni-Cds and I was going to buy some 3800 Ni-Mh's soon. I might look into lipos now. EDIT: Ok so I looked into them a little and I have one question: Is the MaH on LiPos equivalent to the MaH on NiMH's? What I mean is if I get a 1500 MaH 11.1 15C Lipo will it last as long as a 1500 MaH 8.4 NiMH or longer? Thanks.

    Dischargers

Hi, I was thinking about getting or building a discharger for my batteries because I just have a smart charger which as far as I know doesn't discharge batteries. I mostly use NiMh's so I'm wondering if your supposed to discharge them or just NiCds. If not I'll just stick with what I have. Thanks.
  14. For some reason the bolt catch pin came out on my Dboys M16A4 and I lost it. I'm not sure if that's the proper name for it but its the little black pin on the left side of the gun that holds the button on that usually doesn't do anything (on my gun it releases the fake bolt cover). So anyway, I want to buy a new one. Dboys brand would be best but I'll probably buy anything as long as its metal and not broken. Thanks.
