  1. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! lol. Don't use a paper product. It will scratch your barrel. Use something made of cotton. If you have .22 barrel cleaning patches, those should work.
  2. I think you are thinking of the SIG 552, The SIG 556 is a rebrand of CYMA. Speaking of CYMA, from my rather limited experience with them, their AK's are great.

    Smart Charger

So I finally got a smart charger just before I put up my guns for the winter, used it a couple times and put it away. This morning I took it out, plugged it in and started hearing this noise. Best way I can describe it is like a hissing sound. There's no battery or anything plugged in to it. I've got it plugged in right now just hoping it doesn't explode in my room lol. Is this noise normal or is something wrong with my charger?
  5. My P90 locked up on me last summer, and I took it apart and didn't put it back together until now. Somehow it got a little warped and it cracked when I was putting it together, so now I need a need a new GB shell. Thank You!
  6. If he told you, then everyone would make their own and no one would buy from him lol. There are lots of things you can use, just do a little experimentation of your own. I've had some pretty good results from rubber grips from pens.
  7. Alright, thanks guys. I think that answers all my questions.
  8. I don't understand. A few years ago I bought a 9.6v stick and it doesn't fit in my AK. So I recently bought another one from a guy and it doesn't fit in my AK either. Is there something I'm missing? Am I putting it in wrong or do 9.6 sticks just not fit in AK's? If not, what on earth are they for? lol Also, if it doesn't fit, can I just snap a cell off the end and re-solder the connection? Thank you!
  9. I'm repairing my JG SIG 552, and I was wondering what size bushings it uses. I also need a new tappet plate, What brand should I get? Thank you!
  10. I used plastic from an old bb jar as my backing.
  11. I've done it with a good file and it works fine. You just have to take something and clean the edges of the barrel window once you're done (I used an really sharp knife). Just lay the file across the window so that it is taking the same amount of metal off both sides.
  12. Just take a file and ten minutes to make your barrel window deeper.
  13. /\/\ The 19% includes a 10% coupon code, an estimated 7% shipping and the 2% rebate thingy lol. Bolt Actions are no more accurate than AEG's from what I have seen. With a little work I have my pistol shooting almost as far as my stock L96. The only real difference That I can think of is that you have to :censored2: a bolt action, but an AEG :censored2: itself.
  14. This may sound like a stupid question, but what is the advantage of a metal cylinder head? I just bought an F2k but I haven't received it yet, is the cylinder head different from that of other guns?
  15. If you zoom in, the 2011 still has the side rail. I think it's the same gun, just different angles. It seems odd that JG would change the externals.
  16. I find scopes very helpful. It's pretty tough to use binoculars while wearing goggles, plus I can look through my scope at 9x to look for people with one eye and keep my other eye open in case someone tries to sneak up on me. I'm the only one in my family that is comfortable with scopes, because I use them so much. My brother has trouble finding things with it, but I can look at something, bring up my gun and have my crosshairs right on it. So if you don't use scopes a lot already, you probably will have trouble using it in airsoft. That and I have terrible eyesight, so scopes really help esp. when someone is hiding behind a tree or something.
  17. Random person (I.e. me, cause I'm a very random person lol jk) w\ Libyan flag and F2k I'm now a proud owner of an F2000
  18. My bevel gear and spur gear only needed a couple shims, but my I've used at lest five on my sector gear and it's still really wobbly. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong lol.
  19. Don't clean the barrel with tissue!! You will scratch the barrel because tissue is basically made of really small saw dust. Most of us use some kind of cotton cloth. I usually cut up .22 rifle cleaning patches, but I have also used material from old jeans and stuff like that.
  20. My Jg sig had a tappet plate strip, and my KS P90 locked up. So I disassembled them and decided to combine the shims from both guns and have one of my guns shimmed while I'm waiting for more shims. To my great suprise, there weren't enough shims between the two to shim one gun!!! I think there was a total of eleven shims between the to guns. If you buy a JG, buy shims with them. That probably aplies to all clones.
  21. Personally I wouldn't go with a 6.01 barrel. I'd go with a 6.03, probably a madbull. From what I've read, 6.01 barrels have better accuracy at shorter ranges, but the 6.03 is better at longer ranges. Unfortunately I don't understand all the science behind it, but that seems to be the general conclusion.
  22. Umm... you should have posted this in the flat ho discussion thread number one, and number two, that's the exact same thing that the rest of us are doing with our flat hops. Except we don't use metal. Personally, I wouldn't want a piece of metal that close to my bucking.
  23. I'm not completely sure. It was shooting from my deck to my stable lol. It's a minimum of 120 feet I think I'm shooting closer to 150 feet. Pretty bad for a rifle lol, but that's pretty good for a pistol with a barrel only a few inches long and only shooting ~300 fps.
