  1. I've had my gun for like a year and a half now, great gun very few problems especially with the internals once I figured out how everything worked. Only downside is that the JG BAR 10 probably has the worst magazine I've ever used in an airsoft gun. After awhile it began to double feed often, but that wasn't too big of a problem. I found that if you pull the bolt back swiftly it usually helps the double feed problem. Now to what is a major problem, sometime ago my mag catch spring broke and I had to break off about a third of it. I don't think the weakened spring is holding the magazine all the way in, and almost every time I go to fire my gun my magazine will completely empty and clog my chamber with BBs. The BBs get into the barrel and into where the cylinder is. If anyone could offer a solution it would be greatly appreciated. My gun (if it helps): Stock everything but 150 spring reinforced piston, spring guide laylax piston & trigger sear I'm getting a new hop up bucking (I really need one... I know) but I want to fix this first. Thanks
  2. Because the 170 is stronger than the 150 and since you are using a cylinder head that doesn't fit, the spring might be pushing up against the cylinder head and producing more air leaks.
  3. Problem solved I disassembled the gun and lubed my cylinder, trigger mech, sgs, and whatever the piece is called at the back of the barrel that holds the cylinder. My gun is now as smooth as butter and shooting 500fps consistently.
  4. If you want a new barrel then you can do free mods and buy the barrel but you will only be shooting at around 450 or so fps (if you get lucky MAYBE 465-470 or so) If you want 500 fps then buy a 150 sp spring and a reinforced piston and spring guide.
  5. My piston seems to be fine, it is new as well and reinforced.
  6. When I pull the bolt for my JG BAR10 back it only :censored2: like half of the time. Sometimes it will :censored2: and fire perfectly, but other times I will pull it ALL the way back and it just springs back into place. My sears are fine they are brand new Laylax, and my spring guide piston and spring all seem okay as well. Any ideas of why this is happening? My only idea is that my spring guide stopper needs to be replaced because it is stock and I'm using a 150 spring? Is there any way the cheap metal would be getting bent back and not working properly? Thanks
  7. umm are you high? I'm pretty sure a sell thread goes in the general buying and SELLING discussion?
  8. Okay well anyone looking to buy it will probably be active in this section also.
  9. I bought a BRAND NEW laylax sp150(496) spring for my JG BAR 10 and found the bolt pull to be too hard. I am now selling it for a low price. I have LITERALLY only put 3 rounds through this spring! That isn't a typo! 3! Just as good as buying the spring brand new from any website! Nothing at all is wrong with the spring itself, my gun operates perfectly with the spring inside. I am using a reinforced spring guide and piston, and lalyax sears. If of any interest I bought the spring from airsoft GI for $22. My starting price is $14 (shipping included). I am willing to bargain but it must be reasonable. I will also trade straight up for a laylax sp130 spring in good condition. Message me or post here if interested.

  11. I don't think I knew what I was getting in to. I ordered a lot of brand new parts for my JG BAR 10 to get it shooting at 500 or so FPS. This included a new spring guide, piston,150 sp spring, trigger sear and piston sear. I installed everything perfectly, my gun has no problems and it should last forever. The only slight problem I'm having is that I can't seem to actually fire my gun. The bolt pull is insanely heavy, it doesn't help that I'm only 14 and not extremely strong, but even adults would have trouble cocking this behemoth of a spring. The simple solution would be to buy a teflon cylinder right? Well, I don't have the money for one right now and I'm pretty sure I don't need one if I have a 150 spring (this is what virtually every guide and post about upgrading a BAR 10 has stated). The best solution I can come up with is to buy a 130sp spring and lose 50 or 60 fps, but if there is an easy cheap way to help the bolt pull be a little lighter? I'm up for ideas, anything will help Note: I have already lubed the cylinder and all internal parts so don't just say "oh lube up your cylinder and you should be fine"...
  12. If your mouth is closed an airsoft BB won't do anything
  13. I've been thinking about upgrading my BAR. I'm definitely getting a new spring and I think I'm going to get a new piston and spring guide. If I get a brand new piston and spring guide, not too high quality but definitely a step up from the stock parts, will my gun be able to handle an m150 spring? I know the BAR can easily handle a 130 even with stock parts, so is a 150 okay? Thank you! Oh and two other questions: Should I use .28 or .3 BBs if I use a 150 spring? and... Can I use WD40 as a lube for my spring, spring guide, piston, air nozzle, and barrel? Thanks much
