  1. <AT>sniperx2s: Yeah, the L86 is one of the bigger players in my search right now due to my ICS past and wanting something different. I actually own an ICS M4. I like the company, just not the platform. <AT>J-man: As far as the A&K MK46 goes, how do you go about bypassing the ROF switch? <AT>drkdrgn & Disco Dante: I'd definitely go for something like a G&P if I had more money. But I'm a teenager who's only able to work a summer job due to age. I'm in a crappy situation, but I'm giving this LMG idea everything I've got. Maybe I'll test out selling my M4 to increase my budget. PP
  2. Nope, they come with 300rd high caps now. So as far as my research goes right now, does anyone have any experience with the A&K M60 VN or the ICS L86A2? I'm also still taking other suggestions. PP
  3. <AT>this is my boom stick: Correct, but then I have to tack on the extra $110 for a box mag. PP
  4. <AT>this is my boom stick, remember that I'm trying to keep the base gun under around $350.
  5. Thanks for the input guys, both of you have helped. <AT>LoneSniperSG, no I do not participate in MILSIM events. If you've been to or heard about Travis Jacobsen's field up in Big Lake, that's mainly where I play. There are some houses, but they aren't really anything you fight inside. They're basically just big bunkers that you could hold down with an MG. <AT>Uncle Leo, Alright, I'll go ahead and do some research on the different types of box mags. As of right now, the A&K 249s have been ruled out. PP
  6. So now that our local field is changing and evolving, I'm recognizing more and more the need for a squad support weapon. Whether it be holding one of the tree lines, covering one of the houses, or providing cover fire for teammates crossing the open field, the need is definitely there. That being said, I have decided that I would like to take on this challenge. So I would appreciate everyone's feedback on what I'm looking into. And before I get started, one more thing, PLEASE DON'T GIVE ME LISTS OF THE EXACT UPGRADES YOU'D DO. I DON'T WANT THAT! THERE WILL BE ANOTHER THREAD ONCE I DECIDE WHAT I WANT! Thanks, haha. And another thing, RPKs can be sexy, but I don't like the feel of them. So here we go. (And these are in no particular order.) 1. A&K M249 (not sure whether I'd get the MKI, MKII, or PARA version.) http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=28202 I've gotten mixed reviews on the A&K 249s. Some people love theirs while others have had both hop-up and box mag issues. 2. Matrix MK46 http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=37513 I honestly don't really know anything about this gun, haha. 3. JG G36c http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=27598 I'm going for something like a G36k, but I've heard that the "K" version of the JGs have had a lot of barrel and hop-up issues. You may also wonder why I'm thinking about JG. A couple of guys in our group own them. They've been used extensively, and they keep on trucking through hell. I wanted to take a cheap gun with pretty decent externals, add a C-Mag, gripod, suppressor with extended inner barrel, and overhaul the internals. So basically the only thing that would stay JG is the externals. 4. A&K M60 VN http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPat...oducts_id=33325 A friend of mine used to have the A&K MK43 Mod 0, so I'm assuming that the VN and the MK43 are pretty close. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. His gun shot pretty well, but I just hated the built-in grip. 5. ICS L86A2 http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=31796 This is again another gun that I have no knowledge about, but it's something I would consider. 6. JG G3 http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=28748 I planned on taking the same approach with this gun as the G36. I've used this gun quite a bit, but it had much to be desired. Planned on overhauling the internals, adding a C-Mag, and probably adding something similar to a Specter DR or SAW sight. So please let me know what you think, BUT NO PARTS LISTS. As always, the cheaper the better because that leaves more money for upgrades and accessories. I'd like to keep the base gun ≤$350. And as of right now, I have no weapon preferences between the above guns. EXCEPT FOR NO RPKs! Thank you for reading my demands, and good luck on your airsoft adventures. PP
  7. Well my M4 buyer backed out, so don't send me offers trying to sell yours. Only looking to trade currently. PP
  8. Well I would love to get my hands on one. I realize that they are difficult to source, but if you've got one, contact me. Would definitely prefer to trade my ICS M4 split top with accessories for it, but I'm sure we could figure something out. BTW, PMs only. Might not check this thread 24/7. PP
  9. Someone must have liked your idea. Look what just came out: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/beta-project-tactical-ak-aeg.html PP
  10. Damn.............always loved that gun. Best of luck with the sale. PP
  11. Yeah, I guess. I didn't even realize how much I posted until I looked one day. And I've even been really busy with football the passed 2 months. PP
  12. Ohhhh, such a beatiful sentry. Also digging the XCR. PP
  13. I'll take it, haha. My guess is 38 pairs. Unless we're playing Wheel of Fortune rules, then my guess would be 1 pair. PP
  14. Awesome, definitely worth a try. I know what I'm doing later. PP
  15. I had the exact same thing happen with I guy. I think if you said that the first one with cash in your hand gets it, then I'd still go along with it. PP
  16. Man, I'd love to do this with my gun, but is there a minimum depth that your trades have to be for the coloring to work? I've got an ICS M4, but the trades are just barely etched in there. PP
  17. I've got one of these on my M4, and it lines up the site picture perfectly. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2738 PP
  18. ^THIS^ My friend doesn't get why I absolutely hate Evike, but it only takes one time. The sad part is, I've been screwed twice by them along with my dad getting screwed once. Never again. PP
  19. I would recommend propane adapters if you can get propane approved. It's cheap, easy to use, and works just as well as green gas.(because it basically is.) PP
  20. Or, http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=29330 http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=29329 PP
