  1. So I just purchased a DBoys HK416, and I'm waiting for it to arrive in a couple of days. However, the version I bought has a standard M4-style retractable stock and is wired to the front to a fake PEQ box. Personally, I've always hated how guns look when running wired PEQ boxes, and I hate even more that this 416 doesn't have a crane stock on it. Naturally, I'd like to change that, but that would require rear-wiring the gun myself, and I'm terrible inside gearboxes (even just changing the wiring harness would probably end in catastrophe for me). Instead, I figured I could just pick up a rear-wired drop-in replacement. Performance isn't a huge priority- I just want the gun to work decently and not have to worry about it for a while (I'm a casual player, sorry to offend anyone haha). Does anyone know of any decent, cheap rear-wired drop in replacements that will fit? Here's a possible one I think I found (although I'm pretty sure it needs a fuse soldered on, that I can do): http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/248-jg-com...cc-ge-m-44.aspx Thanks in advance!
  2. Bump. No one can help me? Or at least refer me to someone who is good with CO2 revolvers? :(
  3. So, I was firing my beauty into my backyard a few minutes ago, when I noticed I was dry firing. I got 2 shots out, then I started firing blanks. I realized the cylinder wasn't rotating, so I manually turned it, and finished unloading the shots. I reloaded, and had the same problem. Sometimes I get 3 shots, sometimes 1, sometimes none, before the cylinder stops rotating. Anyone know what might be happening? Note: I had to screw the cylinder rod (not sure about the actual name of the piece) back in. I think I did it right, but could that be part of the problem? Note 2: Here's the gun, if it helps- http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/400_FPS_WG...gnb-cnb702s.htm
  4. First, let me get something straight with the metal body, I know it's not the best, but it's in my price range, so if you're gonna try and show me a new one, I appreciate it but probably won't get it unless it's in the same price range or you can really prove that a couple extra bucks will be totally worth it. Now then, onto the topic; I'm still relatively new to airsoft, though I read around this forum a lot. I wanted to get some sort of M4, but because I'm me and like realism, I wanted a metal body. The first M4 I thought of was the G&G Combat Machine M4, since, if memory serves, I have heard nothing but fantastic reviews from people using them. Of course, they have a plastic body, so I had to find a cheap, metal body to replace it with, and so I found this: http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/DBoys_Full.../acc-bi-m28.htm (also, I know switching from a plastic to metal body requires a one-piece hop-up, so I'll be picking up a 15$ JG one. Not the best, but again, cheap and can't be too bad). Now, the question is, does what I'm doing so far sound good, and is it easy to replace the body (I found an assembly video by Evike), or would I get the same performance and save time by getting some metal-bodied DBoy right from the start? Reference Links- G&G Combat Machine: http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/G_G_Combat...p-car-black.htm JG Metal One-Piece Hop-up: http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/JG_M4_M16_...acc-ge-m-49.htm DBoys M4 I would probably end up getting if not the G&G: http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/DBoys_Full..._p/bi-3681m.htm
  5. I'm not terribly worried about pinpoint accuracy and extreme FPS, as long as it has an ok rate of fire (semi and full), and lets me have a good chance with it in CQC combat, it'll be fine. Seem's like CYMA really hit it outta the park with this AEP then? You know, compared to their usual lineup, that is.
  6. It's pretty simple. I know they're not terribly hard to come by, so I guess the question is more of, is it worth my cash, as I'm not hardcore enough to plop down triple the price for the TM Version. Anyone have any combat experience with it? Is it worth the cash?
  7. So, uh, being my not-engineering inclined self and all, I tried to disassemble my gearbox.... Need I say more? (And yes, I looked up TONS of guides on how to take it apart and put it back together, alas, I still failed -.-) Anyways, so yeah, it's a stock JG Ver. 3 gearbox for the AUG, and, I know have the motor, all the gears, the crappy plastic bushings, spring, cylinder, air nozzle, piston and piston head, all the case screws, the shell, wiring, anti-reversal latch and spring, and honestly, some small parts that I know came off the gearbox but I have no idea from where I also know that my spring guide broke >< So my question is, does anyone here do AUG V3 gearbox work, and might even be willing throw in a few missing parts, should it be missing any? I'm willing to pay total cost of shipping, and I'm sure we can reach an agreement on labor price. Mind you, this wouldn't be sent till probably around after Christmas, as I am only 15, and just lost my job as a dishwasher, so that would probably be my next source of income lol. Oh, and advice on putting it back together myself is also welcome, if you think you can help :D
  8. So, I got my JG AUG Because.. Well... I <3 AUG's. But the only field close to me only does CQC, so I'm looking for the railed (civilian) top receiver for the AUG, so I can put on a red dot sight, ect. I have the military scoped receiver to trade (JG). Good condition, a few tiny scratches but barely noticeable. Scope works fine, has windage and elevation adjusting. Also, must have some sort of USABLE optics (Not the crap plastic sights, I'll take any red dot, small, large, ect, or even metal iron sights if you're the only person to offer lol). Sorry, not willing to buy the receiver, only trade mine for it. PM preferably please, thanks!
  9. I am looking for both of these, if you can show me where to buy either, that would be great. Sorry, I won't be buying the outer barrel off anybody, but I might trade my A2 receiver for your A1 if you throw in some kind of optics (no iron sights please, even a small red dot sight would do, preferebly metal). The A2 has a 1.5x scope built in, along with some iron sight son the top. All metal, very tiny scratch here in there, but overall good condition.
  10. Yes, we were talking about bushing strength. Just assume ones a 6mm gearbox, the other is 7, but made of the same metal or whatever. Also, I understand how solid bushings are more durable, but how much more? Would it save me a little bit of cash to upgrade to solid metal ones since they need to be replaced less?
  11. Okay, so I know different shells require different sized bushings, of course, but here's my question: Would, say, a stock JG M4 gearbox with a shell using 8mm bushings, be more durable than basically the same gearbox but using a shell with 6mm bushings? (And yes, I know a gearbox requires a certain size bushings, and only that size.) I was curious if it would be worth getting a new gearbox with a bigger bushing requirement, for durability's sake of the bushings.
  12. I'm 15 years old, and while I don't exactly have a BDU, I do know the rules and safety regulations of airsoft, have my own goggles (and full face mask if needed), my own weapon (JG AU-2G), and BB's. It's also a stock rifle, so I can pretty much guarantee it's under the 400 FPS limit for automatic weapons in Florida fields. Not all of us are 11 year old's with LPEG's or cheaters. Anyways, is there any field that would allow to me play, and where I wouldn't feel awkward (I.E. be the only one not in uniform or be playing with people much older than myself)?

  14. And the last part sums up what nearly happened to me. It would only shoot semi auto when I first got it, and me and my dad thought it was just a short trigger, so we lengthened it, and it worked, albeit very sensitively. Somehow, after I removed it, it works fine now. And I had planned to do most (if not all) of the DIY mods that airborne linked me too, I just need to get some shims before I start, as well as some grease.
  15. Thank you for being so helpful you guys! So far, I managed to find some Modify Bushings, G&P Shims, and a Madbull 6.03mm Barrel 509mm Length). The other parts is where it got tricky: I managed to find a G&P Polycarb. Piston on Airsoft GI http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1636 I am confident this is the right piston (am I wrong?), but they were sold out of the piston heads. So I checked around, and came up, once again, half handed. I found a G&P Piston Head, but it looks different from the ones on AS GI, and I was afraid of getting it for fear of it being the wrong one, here's a link (please ignore the fact it's on Evike, it was $15 on other sites): http://www.airsoftpost.com/polyamide-explo...ad-p-27703.html As for the motor, going with the G&P (http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_73_385&products_id=32257) , any Element or SHS motor I looked up was sold out. Also, you both said the upgrade kit was unnecessary, which is fine by me, saves me some cash, but would you recommend I upgrade anything else or replace any other parts? Just want to keep this gun working smooth (and a bit more powerful) for a decent time :)
