  1. I agree with you on both aspects, most of these are rule violations, but a lot of times the admins don't do anything. It just makes me angry. As of the clamping over mouths, I've actually only done it once.
  2. I'm not that big on internalls, but KWAs tend to have TONS of wiring and motor troubles, and from experience and talking with owners, it isnt worth it. I havent had much experience with ICS guns, but I've heard they aren't worth it. People have had good experience with ARES rifles, and although some reviews are mixed, they have reliability. I'd recommend a G&P. ;)
  3. I'd have to say a couple things. When some guy points his gun at you menacingly (Wearing jeans and a T-shirt, so I don't know what team he is on.) You shoot him, and he cusses you out for friendly fire. Then, when he starts yelling at you, enemies sneak up from behind you and shoot you. And that is when you realize the idiot is on the other team. I hate it when you knife one little kid (With an epic nerf tomahawk, not thrown) and he yells out "Oh ****! I got knifed!" and you areright smack ninjaing in the middle of enemy territory. Then, needless to say, you die. Now, every time I knife a little kid that I don't know that well, I clamp my hand over their mouth for a half second. They get pissed, but it sends a message.
  4. I would not recommend AUGs. I bought mine (JG AUG) and it came broken, sent it back, got a new one, worked for 7 days, and it broke. Plus the structure and gearbox of the gun isn't great on all the AUGs I've found. Now, if you are so hardset against the M4, Ak47s are great, Scars, etc. I personally recommend the Echo1 AK47 - some people talk trash about the Echo1 guns, but my friend has it, and it shoots straight and is durable. The Echo1 Scar is excellent, and anything from G&P and almost anything from G&G are durable and shoot well. If you REALLY want something different, I've shot and tested, and used in a game, the King Arms Thompson is excellent, although the Mags are an absolute pain to find/buy/use. If you don't mind spending 350+, anything G&P is amazing. Otherwise look at my other suggestions.
  5. What about something like this? http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.ph...oducts_id=33557 cheap, looks nice. RIS .... thanks
  6. Thanks for all the great comments. Veyr helpful. I've been looking at some JGs, and I saw this... http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.ph...oducts_id=29002 JG M4, Lipo Ready, says 460 fps, ratings say 25 rps. Heavy though... 8 lbs. I'd buy a pistol grip - but there is a nother problem. No forward barrel rails. D:. Good gun, however
  7. well, I've got 200$ or so to blow on a gun, and I'm tryin to do some research. I need help on brands to look at, styles, or specific guns. Wht I have my sights on is - http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.ph...oducts_id=30078 150 ft range, 410 fps, lots of tactical rails. Thanks for helping.
  8. I've been looking at G&G recently, seen two guns - http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-GG-CM-AK.htm and http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-GG-CM-M16-CA.htm. The AK is 30$ more and looks like a worse gun - why? I don't understand.
  9. My other topic, cheap guns, was starting to get a bit off. So I decided that I would ask a few other questions here. I'm very new to airsoft. So far it has been a great time and only bought my first gun about a month ago. (Heres the link - http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-WELL-R8-G3A3.htm.) I'm 13, and don't have the money to buy snything really high queality, but I like this gun so far. So recently I've been asking questions about.... Sniping. I've been told it is fun, I've been told it is boring and unaffective. I've thought over the pros and cons of the sniper role - Pros - Quiet with a bolt action spring. - High FPS (Usually) - Stealthy Cons -If you're seen, your screwed. (Unless I think I may get an MP5 or SMG as my backup) - Semi - Auto - Boring? Here are some of them listed. I've looked at the Cons - and the pros - and found that if you are stealthy enough, the cons outdo the pros (Tell me if you think otherwise). So, as I've always liked the idea of stealth - NOT just the sniping part - I'd like to know if there are any other options. AEGs and Gas guns are as noisy as heck, so it is hard to pick off people without the entire crowd knowing you are right there. So is there any rifle/secondary build other than a sniper that allows you too be quiet or effective? I'll try both routes if not - but I really need your opinions. Thanks!
  10. Thankyou. I think I'll boycott the pistol idea - also, Andy, I don't take your post bad at all. I had done quite a bit of research on the gun - Some said 250, some said 300. You are probably right. Fortunately, I was using .12 bbs (I know they are bad, I'm getting .2s) and I was still hitting targets at around 100 feet. However, they were flying around. I agree with what you said about the sniper - none the less, my friend has one and I think I'll just try it. I really appreciate the comments. I've only had my current airsoft gun for about a month and a half, so I don't really want to buy a new one yet. Another question - Is their a good weapon that could be quiet, I would like to do Reconnaissance/Marksmanship. The fact is is that electronic and gas gunds are quite loud - one advantage of snipers is the quitnesss of the bolt action. Thankyou!
  11. Link to gun - http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-WELL-R8-G3A3.htm. Thankyou for the opinions. My friend has a sniper and a backup and I think I may try sniping from him first - do some tryout before I actually buy. Thanks!
  12. I recently just got into airsoft. I was recommended Airsplat.com by a friend, luckily JUST before I was going to go buy a LPEG from Academy Sports. I found that Airsplat had a very easy configuration to find gun, so I spent about 2 weeks looking for a good, solid gun for about 100$. Then, as looking through their middle level AEGs, I found the WELL R8 G3 A3. I spent a long time researching, and finally thought, "This is the gun I want." As my first gun, I was very proud of it, and after going to an Airsoft war with friends for the first time and getting the highest killcount, I can trust it. Here are the specifications - _________________________ FPS - 330-360 Range - 200 ft Hi Cap Mag - 400 - 450 bbs Metal Gearbox Plastic Body - Very Sturdy ROF - Not sure, about 10pS. __________________________ Please rate /10. Thanks!
  13. I don't think I'll buy another AEG for a while, but just how good is the WELL I bought? I'd like to know. Also, everyone, I'd like to know how useful a pistol is. I'm looking at the 1911 from airsplat, 400 fps. Gas. My birthday is coming up on June 2nd - I'd like to know if I should ask for a pistol or just money. I'm thinking of being a sniper - That has always appealed to me.
  14. Thanks a lot everyone. I just wanted to know, how long will my gun last me? Look up on Airsplat the Well R8 G3 A3. I'm actually very content with it for now, and atm I don't really want to spend 200$ on a new one. So far none of my friends have thought going for stuff like that, and as far as it goes, I'm only 13, and don't have the allowance to keep up high end guns. BTW, here are some specifications for my gun. FPS - 380 Range - 200 - 250 ft Gearbox - Metal Mag - Hi Cap/400-450 bbs Cost - 95$ (I'm ticked off, cuz it is on sale now for 88$.... ) Thanks for the welcome. Glad to know this is a polite forum. (Also, shadowrunner, I really like your profile picture. I love Calvin and Hobbes. Got every book. :/)
  15. Hey everyone, this is my first post here, go easy on me. . So, how do you start airsofting? That is quite a question. Do you start off with, such, a Firepower spring Powered 9 Cyma Pistol with 100 fps that you get from academy sports, that comes in a pack of 10,000 .12 bbs for 14.00$? Or do you take the big bang and go straight for the full metal body, 350 fps, High Cap mag m4 from Airsplat for 359.99? (I support Airsplat, just so you know. ) My church has recently gotten into Airsplat. I, at 13 years old, go buy the WELL G3 A3 from Airsplat with 350 fps for about 95.99$. My friends go to Academy and get some cheaper guns. Naturally, in the Airsoft war we do, I do better. So should they go hard? Or go 50$? I just want to know whether you support guns such as the Kalashknikov (Sorry if I mispelled it) AK47. It says 200 fps, 400 rd mag. Is it worth it? Will they like the investment? We aren't hardcore airsofters, but if we start to grow? Will we regret buying 60-70$ AEGs in the long run? Just want your opinions. Thanks.
