  1. The G&G long shoots 380-400 while the G&G short shoots 340 to 350. So if you play indoor field get the short one so it will be field legal. Thats in the U.S. though unless you are in some country with FPS restrictions where both the short and long shoots the same fps in that case the long barrel would give you probably a minuscule accuracy boost over the short one.
  2. I would recommend starting with an M4 based gun. There are many upgrades and ways to customize it the way you want. Version 2 gearboxes are a ease to work on and upgrade parts are vast and numerous. If you are looking to get a unique gun that is not a m4/AK ect. do your research and make sure there are plenty of repair parts for that gun. Top Tier Brands that you want to go for if you have the money is VFC, KWA, G&P and Krytac. For the most part these brands have easy to get parts that take TM compatible parts.
  3. Try and find a base gun of a brand of your choice with a 10.3 inch barrel. If the base gun you want dosnt have a 10.3 inch barrel get the madbull outer barrel they go for like 40$ or so. Then get the Madbull DD mk18 RIS II in DE, a Crane stock in DE, some KAC Iron sights. Other accessories to deck out the gun are the KAC broom handle grip, a DE peq 15 or LA5 peq, and a 553 eotech in DE
  4. I ran my CQR mod 2 on a 11.1 for over two years without a mosfet and it worked fine. My trigger contacts were in good condition as well after inspecting it after all the the times I used it over those 2 years. KWAs are advertised as lipo ready out of the box without a mosfet. I believe the only thing proprietary in the KWA system is the gearbox its self, The air nozzle is proprietary to the 2GX hop up unit, and the KWA gears are proprietary to the KWA motor. With my KWA I did use SHS 13:1 gears, SHS HT motor, and eventually I did install a GATE mosfet. You really don't have to worry about the whole TM compatibility thing unless you want to change the air nozzle and the entire hop up unit. 2gx hop up work really nice and work best with 2gx bucking. In all honesty I do believe KWA has the best stock internal parts because of how long you can run it on a 11.1 Lipo. Krytacs have solid internals as well, but I only took one apart to fix it, never fielded one.
  5. PM an offer if you'd like to buy the gun alone. Keep in mind how much it costs. There's $115 worth of MOSFET and wires that only been in there for a couple months and not even fielded yet. Bump while were at it.
  6. Hello! Putting this guy up for sale again. Been lagging it and its just been collecting dust. One of the technicians here at ANM is selling their KWA CQB converted to a MK18. It was recently just opened up to regrease and check compression. Shooting around 375 FPS. Also throwing in two lipo batteries and a charger as well as 6 midcap magazines. I might as well throw in some KWA .25s as well. Any questions feel free to send us a message. Will put gun on hold for no longer than a day. Will not part anything out. Don't ask. Not open for trades. All sales are final. 8. Instead of bumping up a thread I made about sellling this gun around 4 months ago, I decided I'll just make a new one since I added a little bit more to it. I really want this sold fast. 9. Correct your AOE, throw in a Bravo blue piston, a plastic piston head, and finally a MOSFET. That way it will truly be, in my opinion, lipo ready. KWA are indeed good guns but like every gun they need to be fine tuned and get the kinks worked out. Once that's taken care of yours squared away. More than anything look into correcting the AOE. That greatly expands the life of you piston. Also make sure you're using a lipo that's in spec to KWA standards.
