  1. Hello again ASF, I was lazy last time I got home from a match, and threw all of my stuff in a big pile... And now my goggle lens is hopelessly scratched. Anyone know where to find a replacement, if there are any? I've searched ebay, ASGI, you name it to find one, but I'm running out of ideas.
  2. Hi guys, it's been awhile! So my brother's gun (the said AK) has been down for the count for awhile now due to the fact that it seems incurable. I took it apart today and found three broken teeth, two on the sector, and one on the spur. Before this happened, we were firing it (multiple times this happened) and it would give a grinding that slowed to a halt. It then wouldn't even give off a noticeable mechanical "click", and would just sit locked. But oddly enough, if you waited long enough, you could fire it again, though it would give off another cycle of the grinding and eventual end with the standstill and click. Even after I replaced the broken sector and spur gears with JG gears, I had the same thing happen, not 100 cycles into use. I made sure my shimming was spot on, and did all the checks I could. Yet, nothing turned up. The only thing I could think of was the small amount of area that the motor could move, as we don't have the grip that covers the motor right now. To sum things up, we are out of ideas, and are considering parting it out or selling it as a non-working model. If you have ideas, let me know, if not, please tell me which selling platform would bring in the most money to buy a new gun with. Thanks guys, looking forwards to your responses!
  3. Thanks, I probably wouldn't have found that. Im considering looking for a bigger suppressor, but this is a better option price and work wise.
  4. It was JG contacts, if that says much. They already had been built up before, and I had cleaned them off, as I thought I was just throwing in a FET, so I wouldn't have to deal with them much, but unfortunately that wasn't so.
  5. I don't have the knowledge or equipment for that, so I'm looking for a factory fresh one, preferably Madbull.
  6. Hi guys, I recently picked up a GR4 from my local store, and was looking at the barrel, and it is flat out tiny. I looked up the 205mm barrel it has, and there were none, from any brand, matching it that were for AEG. I'm thinking of picking up a longer suppressor and just getting a standard 235 or 247mm, but that could cost some more than I want to pay. Any ideas?
  7. I thought that the discharge x capacity was the amperage, and that's what kills a battery? Therefore, he is correct in a sense, but the voltage is a big part as well, so he is wrong there, correct?
  8. Ok, case closed. Thanks.
  9. I had originally planned on taking my first M4 up to Toledo to get some tech work done, but now that I have a new, fully functioning one, I might just take it up there, have him do the whole tune up and maybe upgrades, and install the MOSFET as well. And are you sure that's not going to cause a setback for me? I am a true semi-lover, so I will be putting on quite a bit of wear, right?
  10. Thanks for understanding. I have a 1800mah wired to deans, but I don't want to void my warranty and add deans to the new gun. I was told by theguy up at the shop I bought it from that 20c will burn out my contacts . I believed it because my other m4 has very, very bad corrosion, presumably from the Lipo. So he recommended a 15c. Thoughts?
  11. So yesterday I picked up a G&G CQB M4. I don't like voiding warranties, so I left the Tamiyas. When it expires, deans are coming. But in til then, I need to get a Tamiya 7.4v, but I'm not sure of amperage. If I went to around 2000mah, is 15c a good discharge? I used a 20c in my other M4 and it is having severe carbon buildup. I prefer Hobbyking if it matters.
  12. So is that a yay or a nay? I like how the fuse is on there, so I'm protected.
  13. Does anyone have anything to say about my link? Glad to know I brought about enlightenment on a subject though .
  14. Okay, so after some research (I finally got some free time to look it up), I started looking for prebuilt 3034 FETs, as despite that guide on NCAirsoft, I'm not confident I could do it. I found this one (http://www.bay.com/itm/Airsoft-AEG-MOSFET-IR-3034-5000W-TVS-20A-Fuse-Tiny-Robust/221388071469?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D21235%26meid%3D5768389912336116654%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D9374%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D221392345281&rt=nc ADD THE E IN EBAY ON URL), which features the 3034, but with a fuse, which is exactly what I want. Plus, it's only $18. Is it too good to be true?
