  1. Hello forum! Whilst trying to write up a review for an airsoft product, when I go to the link for the airsoftforum new review system (http://airsoftforum.com/reviews/), I only get this message: Anyone else have this problem? Thanks, 16kuokhc1
  2. I've just tested out the alien airsoft speed motor a couple of minutes ago, and it's very good for it's price ($195 HKD), since it's able to use a 8.4 with a high ROF and pretty good trigger response. However, when I bump up the voltage to 9.2, the ROF goes to an extremely fast ROF (20-25) and has a substantial increase in trigger response (comparable to a GBB). I should be able to post a full review later.
  3. Hey, hello forum! Today whilst browsing through UNcompany, I found these aluminum outer barrels for the KWA NS2 (aka KSC system 7) m9/93r pistols. These include:Normal, Threaded and three compensated barrels. Links below: Normal: http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=35317 Threaded: http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=35318 Compensated: http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=35530 Compensated #2: http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=35529 Compensated #3: http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=35531 Note: Compensated barrels have an extended 6.03 thighbore inner barrel.
  4. Cool, thanks for the advice! I will test it and post test results once I get it. EDIT: Just found out that the speed motor was spinning at 16 TPA (more akin to the SHS motors) whilst the Torque motor spins at 22 TPA. I think I'll just get the speed motor to maintain a pretty good ROF. I run a M100 spring anyways, so I don't think I need a motor *that* powerful.
  5. Hello forum, whilst browsing the UNcompany website (which has a lot of sold out products); I have found some motors by Alien Airsoft (which were really cheap, at around $19 USD) and I am wondering whether if they are good or not comparing to the dBoys AKS74U stock motor. (Note: I plan on buying the High Torque motor, as 12 rounds per second is good enough for me.) 6. Oh shoot! Sorry, I meant that it uses VFC compatable externals (Commonly known as VFC externals); From reviews, the Dboys series may use full wood and steel (search for "WS" on the model number). Sorry for the mixup. The CYMA AK series (CM040 and later) is known to be fairly decent (compared to other China AEGs) with mainly steel bodies with some pot metal parts (also VFC pattern externals). The electric blowback increases wear on the gearbox, though. I would recommend the CYMA AKM (CM048M) http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail3.php?rs=New%20Release&item=CYMA-AEG-CM048M&search_From=special
  7. Hello forum, I would like to know if these wood handguards by APS are any good? They seem to have no gloss on it, so I might have to spray on some gloss finish onto it. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/a-p-s-ak74u-real-wood-front-grip.html
  8. If you'd like an AK variant, I'd suggest the Dboys (aka Kalash) line of AK's. They offer full Wood & Steel guns for about $150 (give/take $10) and have metal internals. They use VFC externals, which are comparable with real foregrips (not too sure about sights). If you'd prefer an M16 variant, I'd suggest a JG M16. It has okay (abs plastic) externals, but it does have metal internals. $140 on AirsoftGI.
  9. Hello, 16kuokhc1 here! I would like to know if these APS AKS74U wood handguards are good since they're very new and not talked about very much (especially for the wood handguards as a standalone product). How would these handguards compare to the Dboys AK wood handguards? 10. Look, I've got a twilight book! Just kidding... Kinda. This is my WE G19. It has a snappy blowback due to it's heavy (hopefully not lead) slide and it is very gas efficient with 60 shots per gas fill (maybe because I live in Hong Kong?) I have made the barrel silver (or oxidized grey, whatever) using wet/dry sandpaper on my outer barrel up till 600 grit since I got bored (yeah lame excuse to half-a** a polishing job, but whatever.) What do you guys think of the book case (Inspiration from the John Woo film: Hard Boiled) and the silver/grey barreled WE G19?
  11. Hello, greetings! I am 16kuokhc1 from Hong Kong. I have a Dboys RK-01 AKS74U, WE Glock 19 and KSC M93r (magazine feeding tube kinda stuck). I have played 3 skirmishes so far. Before I was doing airsoft, I was playing nerf (who doesn't?) so I have some (very minor) knowledge of modification. When I'm not doing Airsoft my (other) hobbies include watching movies, gaming, movie effects (yep, after effects) and reading (when I feel like it). Fun fact: I recovered from autism just after kindergarten and also I have enrolled in the John Hopkins Center of Talented Youth courses (eg. HTML and Cryptology).
