  1. That's probably it then. I am using a no name 1100mah 8.4v battery I got off evike for like $8. Charging with a thunder ac6. My other guns work fine on these cheap batteries, I guess this one just needs something more. I have a 1600mah 9.6 on the way now, which should hopefully alleviate these problems.
  2. I know the basic workings of the gearbox from diagrams and such, but have not taken a gearbox apart before. That being said, I didn't necessarily jump to conclusions, rather I started trying possible solutions based on my limited knowledge. Also, I did not want to take apart the gearbox if it was not necessary. I guess a proper gearbox inspection and re shimming May be in order.
  3. Much slower than my other "entry level aegs" as well as much slower than all of my friends entry level aegs. On semi you can hear it struggle to cycle the gearbox, and on full its very slow on 8.4v. I have a -lancer tactical ak47 -2x JG g36c -Jg M4A1 The lancer tactical shoots about 3 times faster than the m4. It is much slower than all of our other guns, and really sounds like its struggling.
  4. I have recently rennovated a JG M4A1 I bought used off a friend. I now believe I am experiencing some sort of electrical issue. When he sold it to me it fired very slowly (rof wise) and it seemed as though the motor was struggling to turn over the gearbox. I replaced the fuse with a fresh one although I don't think it needed it, and I also backed off the set screw on the bottom of the hand grip to loosen the motor mesh (thinking it was too tight, causing the motor to work much harder to turn the gearbox.) Those two procedures didnt do anyhting though. After those two failed to increase ROF, I decided it must be the motor itself. So I went on ebay and bought a cheap motor just to see if it was the problem. The motor arrived and I installed it, only to end up with the same result, slow ROF and what sounds like a struggling motor. I tried my buddies 9.6v battery instead of the 8.4 I normally use, and that increased the ROF to an acceptable level, but caused the motor to heat up quickly, and I would not want to use it for more than a couple minutes. So basically it seems like my motor is struggling to move the gearbox, and, in turn, I am getting sub par preformance. I know the gun has not been modified internally, so its all stock gearbox and spring wise. I loosened the motor set screw at the bottom of the handguard, but it didnt seem to do anything, should I try to tighten it instead? Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.
  5. I recently purchased a Lancer Tactical ak-74u (with ris) for $91 shipped. So far its been great, and I have no complaints, especially for the price.
  6. Alright, I think I get it. I just added the hop up unit you linked to my cart. So I am ready to place my order for those three things, the assembly of the hop up unit seems intimidating, but im sure I will figure it out. Is that all I need? Thanks for everyones help so far by the way.
  7. <AT>airborne101 Could you elaborate on that hop up more? I figured since it is also a JG receiver (that looks the same as my exsisting reciever, except that its metal) It would not require any other parts. <AT>darigaaz The work is fine by me, but I was wondering, is the stock held in place by anything when its folded? or it it free to swing out back to the extended position?
  8. How about this reciever and this stock? http://www.evike.com/products/30725/ http://www.evike.com/products/37420/
  9. A JG huh? Alright thanks for the ID. Any recommendations for a receiver and folding stock?
  10. Hello, I am new to the airsoft forums, and relatively new to airsoft in general. Used to play a bunch around the yard with spring guns a few years ago, but now myself and a few frends are getting into aeg's. I come from the r/c hobby, so I am familiar with most terms (ecspecially electrical terms) and am comfortable with working on my own stuff. Anyway, my friend was selling a couple of his old guns a few days ago to fund a new gun, and I ended up buying one. He thinks its an ICS but isnt really sure. The lower receiver is broken slightly where the stock would attach, and thus the stock broke off. Now that I have it, I am looking to buy a new lower receiver for it to mount an adjustable (or preferably folding) stock. There are no identifing marks on it regarding the brand that I can see, and I want to make sure I buy compatible parts for it. So my questions are, what brand could this gun be? What kind/brand of lower receiver should I purchase? What kind/brand stock should I purchase? (would prefer folding stock, but adjustable crane is better than nothing.) Thank you in advance.
