  1. Sorry for necroing: How much would shipping be for an M14? I would think upwards of $50, considering that an average M14 is over 3 feet. Should I disassemble and ship? Or leave it how it is?
  2. UPDATE: added pictures of the stencils I use to give you a clear view of what the camo looks like.
  3. I can provide pictures of the stencils, but my last 2 camo projects were very rushed and I forgot to take pictures. Although, I can provide a picture of a black and tan two-tone uzi that I did last week if you would like to see it.
  4. Ok, some of you may remember my post a while ago on whether or not I should start an airsoft painting service. Well, I am overjoyed to announce that my dream has come true! Between the time of my last post related to this subject and today, I have completed multiple other painting jobs, all turning out extremely well. I have also amassed many camouflage paint colors. I have also devoted many hours to making a website. This website, www.paintopsairsoft.webs.com, displays a brief introduction to our company and who we are. It also shows a pricing breakdown (for both rifles and pistols). The pricing for camo ranges from $32.99 (ABU camo pistol) to $139.99 (separated hextech camo rifle). But we don't just offer camo! We also have specialty add-on stencils ranging from the US Marines logo to the Hunger Games Mockingjay pin. So, I would be really grateful if everybody would go check out the site, as it is very fresh and needs feedback (don't use the contact us button, that's for orders, post your feedback here). Lastly, the first order on my new website gets 15% off their order and gets to choose a specialty stencil (up to $10) for me to apply at no extra cost! Thank you, and have a good night!
  5. Some people on here wanted to see more examples of my work, so I pulled out a cheap springer I had, disassembled it, and popped some paint on the slide and trigger guard area. The crappy quality of the gun in general really detracts from the quality of the paint job, but I guess it turned out decently. I did end up doing the paint quite strongly for the stripes, but this is only because it was a small area to paint on (the slide was about 6 inches long). Anyways, attached are pictures of when I put masking tape on it, and the final product. Leave your reactions and honest criticisms below. Thanks! https://www.dropbox.com/s/hxva4f41n7q1ltx/Photo%20Feb%2011%2C%207%2050%2048%20PM.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/n8591lnv6t1cn7n/Photo%20Feb%2012%2C%207%2040%2018%20AM.jpg?dl=0 (tell me if the links aren't working, the pictures were too large to upload)
  6. Sounds good, I'll be going with Rustoleum as it's cheaper and Krylon doesn't seem to be available at Walmart (just the camo colors, I don't know why).
  7. Just ran out of both of my camo paint types, Rustoleum and Krylon. Going out to get more tomorrow, but only getting one type. Came here to get your guys' opinions. I, honestly, have noticed no difference in Krylon and Rustoleum, but I would like to know your opinions on this matter. Thank you.
  8. Thanks for the advice! And in the first picture, it's tan. Please post pictures, I'd love to learn more.
  9. I use anything from krylon to rustoleum to hand painting. I've heard of powder enamel coating, but frankly, it's beyond me. And yes, I can handle many patterns, such as the tiger striping in the picture, to snake skin, to regular woodland camo.
  10. I have been thinking about starting an airsoft paint job service. I have done plenty of paint jobs before, but only for myself. I was thinking about doing many designs and many colors. Snake skin camo, tiger stripe camo, regular camo, maybe even digital. I was wondering if any of you guys thought this would be a good idea and/or if you are interested. I would probably have them ship their guns to me, I'll paint it (to their specifications), then I'll send it back. In the case that the gun returns damaged or doesn't return at all, I will have a liability waiver stating that any package lost in the mail is not my fault, blah blah blah, but if there is damage clearly caused by me I will attempt to reimburse them. The pricing would probably be around $50-$100 per gun depending on the complexity, number of colors, and pattern wanted. Sound like a good idea? Tell me in the comments if you see something wrong or something that would clearly not work. Thanks! P.S. I'm new here, so if this isn't in the right category, go ahead and move it.
