  1. I see. What do you suggest I do? What is the solution, if indeed there is one at all? Thanks in advance.
  2. I use a smart charger because I know the chargers that come with AEGs are bad. And I only used the battery that came with the AEG the first time. The second time I used a 9.6v tenergy exclusively and a tenergy smart charger exclusively. What you said here implies to me that the two AEGs have some impact on each other. I don't entirely know what you mean.
  3. Increases probability of issue being noticed. Is that wrong?
  4. No. On the first one I used the 8.4v that came with it. On the next one I used a 9.6v.
  5. I purchased a thompson m1928 from pyramyd air in August, 2019. I did not use it frequently. I simply did not have the time. If I ever used it, it was only for target practice on cans sometimes. From the first day I started to use it, it would intermittently cease firing on full auto or not fire at all on semi. I returned it per my warranty and got a new one, which was still just as dysfunctional. Unfortunately, I forgot to return it within the 60 day warranty period like an idiot, so now I'm stuck with this barely functional but admittedly cool looking airsoft smg that ceases to fire intermittently on full auto, and has a trigger response of questionable quality. I am an amateur airsoft tech who has done some fairly detailed upgrade work on my own guns and some other people's, but I thought I would consult the people of this forum for advice on how to fix it before I open it up. If this is not enough information to provide meaningful advice I could try to upload a video so you can see what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance.

  7. Thank you for the helpful information. Currently, my cm057 is a pile of organized parts on a table because I have been modifying it slowly, because my budget is low so everything of quality that I purchase must be spread out in between times of purchase. No upgrades I have added would affect the muzzle velocity, so I will reassemble it in about 5 days because I do not have access to it now. I will then find a way to acquire a chronograph. At that time I will provide you with information concerning the muzzle velocity of my cm057, and will discern the ideal route forward for potentially increasing the fps. Thank you. Can you recommend cheaper chronographs?
  8. Sorry, when I said delta variant I meant super macaron. I wasn't thinking. Sorry for wasting your time with that. Also, thank you very much. I had no idea so much false information and terminology existed still on the internet, and I appreciate you educating me. I am gonna copy your entire post above into my notes. Pardon my ignorance, but I'm too lazy to look this up; what is an open system, what is a closed system? When I saw this I first thought of biology and such, meaning a closed system has no external interactions and an open system does. If so, aren't all airsoft guns open systems becuase they work by drawing air from the outside and compressing it through a tight space to propel a bb? Sorry for the ignorance again, but what do you mean by "One cannot do a tune unless you do a base line."? Also, what is a stock spring rate? Is it just the strength of the spring? In which case I said I believe it is a guarder sp120, which brings me back to my original desire of upgrading to a guarder sp140.
  9. Perhaps I should just tell you my immediate plan for this thing: I'm gonna polish my inner barrel. I will shim the gearbox, bevel-pinion method, I will correct the AOE, I have already replaced the o-ring which helped a lot. I will replace the stock bucking and nub with a maple leaf bucking and nub, delta variant. I will sand the tappet plate and put a small o ring around the air nozzle to improve the air seal from the cylinder to the nozzle. These are all things I've done before and seen done. The only thing I haven't done is upgrade the spring to a stronger one, so I am seeking help from you about what I might need to do so my gun can handle a heavier spring. I do not currently have the resources to perform a chrono test on my dragunov, but as soon as I do have those resources, I will relay the information to you.
  10. Ok thanks. You said there are not a lot of modification options for this project on a CYMA dragunov, but from what I've seen in person on other people's, and from what I've seen on other forums like this, most people concur the CYMA dragunov has very large upgrade potential. Were those people just straight wrong? Also, when you say compression mods, you mean things like replacing the o ring, sanding the tappet plate, and putting in a new spring, right?
  11. my goal is 480 fps with .20g. Right now it's like 445-450. The only tweak this gun has is a flat hop and new bucking I installed, but I'm replacing that with a maple leaf bucking and concave nub.
  12. For snipers, 500 fps with 0.2 gram bbs. but I'm shooting for more like 480-490 fps. Closer to 480
  13. Ok, thank you, but I should have clarified: I am not a sniper most of the time. Of the two snipers I have, this is the one I use most, but I don't use either often. I'm actually using this one to learn, because I don't want to risk a mess-up on any of my primarys. So, could you please offer me some advice?
  14. Hello there, I am a new member of this forum, and I joined because I do need some help. So I'm trying to turn my CYMA dragunov into a legit DMR, better than a RS. I know this can be done. The problem I am currently having is the matter of changing the spring. I want to correct the AOE, but doing so could decrease muzzle velocity, so I put in a new o ring around my piston head to improve the seal, but I wanted to put in a new spring anyway. I want to put in a guarder sp140 for right now, and I'll see if that's sufficient. The stock spring in a cyma dragunov is an sp120. So, my question is what parts do I need in my gearbox, if any new ones at all, to be able to withstand the stress of a stronger spring? Thanks!
