When I first got my KWA CQBR mod 1, it was shooting around 350 fps. I recently put the following upgrades in my gun trying to get better fps, range and accuracy. A m140 spring, a high torque motor, a new piston and piston head, and an angel custom 6.01 inner barrel. After installation my fps was about 230. So then I installed a type 0 cylinder and just because I was crunched for time I put in the old weaker spring. Now my chrono reads about 18 fps. The bb is literally rolling out of the barrel with a fully charged battery. Before I installed the cylinder I checked the air seal with the piston and it seemed to be fine. I really have no idea what the issue is. Any advise would be very appreciated.
Hello, I ran into the issue with AUG, full write up below. I own a ASG AUG A2, current setup: Shs m120, doube oring cylinder head, shaven tappet plate, metal nozzle with oring, metal hop-up (shimmed towards mech box), teflon on the bucking and, mad-bull 6.03 (509mm) = 330-338fps Previous spring operated when new at 345fps after 8 month gone down to 280. After instalation of M120 (longer than original, so no mistake here), guide and piston (aluminium) the fps did not achived expected 360-380fps. The original spring had a weight attached to the front of it, and the spring guide kept the back end of spring further away from the rear of mech box (pre-compression?). The New spring is not compatible with weight hence the heavier piston. I belive that system is not very leaky as fps is is rather consistent with odd anomaly +/- 10fps (hop-up: off) The mech box is shimmed and secured so sits snuggly with almost no play, hand compression test with the nozzle shows no leaks. When testes with piece of paper on the mag well bb feed, the piece of paper just moves to the side (not flying away). So far I came up with couple of ideas: -Air nozzle to short (0.5mm or something along this lines) -Lonex bucking not sealing under pressure(too soft?) -too light piston? -Too weak spring? -wrong cylinder volume (v3/4 I think) for this length of barell ( measurements to be perforemd over weekend). The cyliner is inserted with the notch on gearbox in right place. Could some point me in the right direction? Did I missed something obvious? Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Good evening, thank you for taking a minute to read and or help. My 13yo son was gifted an old classic army M15A4 rifle. We immediately tore it apart and identified a few things that should be addressed before use in the field. Now with a week of troubleshooting, learning, reading, testing, and searching online parts we're moving ahead with what purchasing and forums are a great place for advice... Identified issues: 1. We're missing the spring assy. and the C-clamp from the hop up unit. 2. It's shooting about 30 feet and a very low FPS (will not puncture cardboard box at 30'). 3. Bucking is pretty old, not deformed that I can tell. 4. Battery has been replaced 5. Gear on motor inside pistol grip is worn/chipped at center of splines ///I\\\ but no issues with skipping 6. thorough cleaning and lubrication Needs: New hop up New bucking New tight bore inner barrel (.603) possibly anything else? We need some insight on what works best with this weapon and what has worked best for you. We have some ideas and have already searched Evite, AirsoftGI, amazon as well as googling several others for pricing and reviews. We think asking a larger forum might also help making the best possible choice on the subject. Please tell us what you think if you have a minute to help. We both appreciate your time and thank you for supporting the next generation of airsoft players. Richard & Ayden
