Hello everyone, I've just purchased a 1kg pack of SRC 0.25g bbs, and for some reason, I'm facing feeding issues with my Cyma CM030 AEP. Every time there are only three rounds left in the magazine, the gun shoots two bbs at once, leaving one round in the mag. It can also occur earlier (less frequently), but it happens every time there are three bbs left. Usually, this feeding issue has to do the bucking, but it doesn't seem to be a problem with the gun, nor with lubrication, as I wasn't facing the same issue when I used my other pack of 0.20g bbs, and it seems that those 0.25g bbs can be inserted by applying less force on the speedloader or when manually inserting bbs, they seem go inside the magazine more easily, in other words. My hypothesis is that the bbs are not being held properly inside the mag, is it because those SRC bbs are "5.95mm -0.01mm" instead of 6mm? As far as I know, bbs are supposed to be 6mm in diameter. Does this mean anything? Did I purchase the "wrong" bbs? SRC is known as a good brand for bbs, and they don't seem to be faulty. Thanks in advance!
I just dropped in these parts: Guarder Reinforced High Speed Ball Bearing Aluminum Piston Head = $16.00 Guarder Stainless Steel Ver.2 Cylinder Head = $24.99 AIM Advanced Silicone Oil / Grease / Spray Set = $15.00 Prometheus 469mm Stainless Steel 6.03mm Tightbore Inner Barrel with RHOP Installed by Umbrella Armory = $105.00 Matrix CNC High Performance Aluminum Air Seal Nozzle = $10.00 Matrix Ver II CNC Steel Ball Bearing Spring Guide = $12.00 Guarder Super Lucid Chromium Plating Cylinder = $15.99 Modify Baton Ryusoku Flat Hop Bucking Soft = $15.00 Ended up not needing the piston head as it was redundant on the bearings and I had a practically perfect air seal with the other piston head. My guess is that the feeding issue is caused by the air nozzle being a tad too long? it feeds sometimes in little bursts and then wont for a few rotations and then will again. As for the accuracy issue I think it's connected to my hop-up placement and my air nozzle a bit baybe... Anyway as I shoot a dozen or so bbs will fly really straight and far and then randomly start pulling up a ton right out of the barrel and then start dropping straight out of the barrel like there was no hop-up touching them at all. I have a prometheus ~660x6.03 with a RHOP installed by umbrella armoury and a modify flat hop and nub in there. the issues seemed to be mostly fixed when I pulled the spacer spring off the hop up and pushed the unit all the way forward but it's still not 100%
So a today I got my new AEG after a year of swearing to never get another AEG. All seemed well until I tried to shoot the gun. The magazines will work fine and try to push ammo into the gun but the gun will not shoot. I put one BB into the barrel from the end of the barrel and shot. The gun shot the single bullet fine but if I try to use a magazine the gun won't shoot. Any help is appreciated thanks. - Ethan C
My trusty ASG AUG A3 has started to play up recently. It first started with some feeding issues, but quickly escalated to what I assume is electrical issues to do with the internals of the gearbox. It stoped working COMPLETELY on the field one day, but the problem quickly seemed to resolve itself and it was working fine within a few days. However I started to suspect something to be wrong internally, maybe some faulty wiring or something? The next time I took it with me for a days airsofting it barely lasted an hour in the field before it cut out again. This time the fuse blew. A quick bypass showed that the rifle itself still worked (apart from feeding issues). Then only 2 weeks ago, It stopped completely, even on a full charge from the battery, and the fuse bypassed, the motor doesn't even consider turning. The fact that the fuse blew tells me that there must be something wrong with the wiring or the gearbox, although I'm no tech expert, that is why I'm here. If anyone has got any ideas about what could be wrong with my AUG A3. And incase you are wondering, no, I haven't taken it to the shop yet. I live quite a while from it and I don't have the time to drive all the way there and back. While I'm here I'd also like to ask about some feeding issues I've been having with it. I predict that it is just the high cap magazines that I use (for the moment) not feeding correctly, or the feeding nozzle inside the mag well. I'm just curious because they both seemed to go bye bye at the same time. Semi-auto doesn't feed AT ALL and full-auto only feeds sometimes. But this problem can be sorted after the main electrical problem. Thanks for your time and consideration of this post. Help is greatly appreciated. -Josh
