So I am looking at getting my first airsoft. Mostly for plinking and dinking around with friends and family. With the possibility of getting into actual games if I can find any nearby. I found a guy selling a set of used guns. G&G CM16 Raider (not 2.0) long. Stock with one clip Matrix AIM Lipo ready M4. New internals and high torque motor. One clip APS ACP Glock 17 with a mini Carbine conversion kit. Two clips. $200 for all of it, no batteries. I've seen video he made of them dry firing each. It's. 3.5 hour drive to pick them up so figured I'd attempt to get some advice before I head out there Saturday. Is this a good deal? Anything specific I should be asking or check when we meet? Thanks all, -Jason
Hello!, I live in the St. Paul area and have been into airsoft for about 8 months. I’m fourteen and don’t currently own a gun, but I just got my vest at Goodwill (You scoff. It was a $70 discontinued Condor plate carrier with 2 double M4 mag pouches, a double pistol mag pouch, and a dump pouch equaling out to about $100-110. I got it with a half off coupon for $12. The goodwill people thought it was a hunting vest.) I just wanted to say hi to y’all and see if anyone has any recommendations for anything. This may sound nooby but I have watched airsoft videos probably averaging 3/day during the last 6months, so I’d like to think I have a clue but I probably don’t. I can put up a picture of the vest but imagine a cross between OD green and Coyote coloring. I also fully intend to rent guns before buying anything expensive. I play conservatively but not unaggressive. I play mostly recon but am not interested much in sniping. Currently I have my eye on a JG SOPMOD and Tactical Force USP. I’ve done me some lawn mowing and can budget about $150 for a primary, $60 for a sidearm, and about $150 for other tac gear. Primary: Need: An AEG, M4, Not CQB, WP rails, telescoping stock, not bad brand, blaze orange tip, TM compatible mags Want: I like JG and TM, Ideally comes with rail covers, metal gearbox, sling mounts Sidearm: Need: Semiauto, gas, blaze orange Want: WP rail(s), medium to large, blowback, Co2, white dot sights if no rails Tac gear: I’d like recommendations on: Helmet, Camo, dropleg holster, full cover paintball mask Thank you all! And to all a good night!
As title says, I am new to this airsoft thing and I'm on that stage where between each game played with rented gear, I spend an incredible amount of time browsing airsoft online stores while cursing being poor. Well, apart from salivate in front of my screen, I have done my homework and checked forums and youtube reviews, but I have tried to absorb so much information in a short period of time that I have more doubts now than one week ago. So here I am. I love all AK types so I don't discard anything, but I feel more comfortable with the short versions like 74U or 47 Spetsnaz. I also like both looks, the classic USSR/guerrilla wood+steel and the modern one with all that tactical stuff. My estimated budget for the AEG is between 130€/145$ and 230€/260$, but if it really is a long-term improvement I could save money and go up to 330€/370$. I give priority to external components instead of internal ones to have a solid base to upgrade on the future if I want to (as a newbie I would have a bad K/D ratio even with the best gun anyways, so let's prioritize don't break my first one too soon). At first sight there was a clear option for me and many other beginners who love AK's: CYMA. But the more I read about their AEG's, the more doubts I have due to the the "poor steel" and "calamine exteriors" critics. On my local airsoft groups everybody said me that the best option is save money and go for an E&L. So that's all? There isn't a third option about this matter? I know that there isn't any magic solution that will end with me having the best AK when my budget is on the mid (or even mid-low) range, but the price on the same replicas (CYMA CM.045A and E&L A104 for example) have differences over 100€ when both are described as "full metal" AEG's with steel and wood. And on the long AK versions the differences are even higher, so I have to ask... is this +100€ investment really worth in terms of hardness and external components? Also, I have read good things about some re-brands of the 1st E&L generation (ForceCore and Meister) that seems to fulfill what I am looking for. They are out of stock on every store I checked, so I guess it was just a temporary thing for sell all that remaining replicas while they went full involved into manufacture the 2nd generation. So no magic alternative for us anymore. Is there any other option that I don't know? What are your opinions about all that CYMA/E&L thing?
So I am looking at airsoft guns for a Christmas gift for myself, and two guns really stuck out to me. I would like advice for a new gun, and opinions on these two: http://www.evike.com/products/31966/ http://www.evike.com/products/51540/ I cannot go over $350, so keep this in mind. Opinions on these two?
