  1. Hello all. Yesterday, I opened up my KWA KM4A1 in a sad attempt to rear wire it (wasn't happening). When I went to close it, I couldn't screw in the plastic wire guide in front of/below the air nozzle. No problem, I'll just leave it out and hand guide the wire. Well. When I closed the upper receiver, the wire slipped out of the metal wire guide on the gearbox, and the metal guide got caught between the upper and lower receivers, bending it all to hell. Any ideas on a remedy? I'm thinking about opening it back up and removing the metal wire guide, hand guiding the wire when I put the gearbox back in the lower, then ensure the plastic wire guide screws on, securing the wire out if the way. Maybe? Edit: here's a picture of the bent up guide.. http://imgur.com/QfpJ9AN
  2. Hi. I just downgraded my spring to a SP100 for CQB. I noticed that I am getting overspin with a 9.6 volt battery when I am in semi auto. when I plug in my 8.4 volt battery it works perfectly fine but I would rather use 9.6 volt batteries. Please help.
  3. Please help! My airsoft gun randomly shoots. It doesn't fire most of the time on semi auto or full auto.
  4. I've been having a couple issues with my Krytac CRB. When it's on semi, it shoots normally at 390 fps at first but then randomly drops to about 200 and the bb basically falls out of the barrel. On full auto however, the problem disappears. Internally I've shimmed the gears, and installed a maddog Cylinder, cylinder head, and piston, a prowin hopup chamber, and a maddog M130 spring that I've cut down to shoot around 390 fps. I've had the same problem with other springs I've used in the past so the spring can't be the problem. Here's a video of what exactly the problem looks like: Any help is appreciated.
  5. I haven't used my gun in about 2 years and when I went to try it out recently, I had some issues. I can get 2 or 3 shots off and then it starts so sound like its almost plugged up and muffled, and nothing comes out. Sometimes after a few shots of nothing coming out, 2 or 3 bbs will come out of the barrel but they only go about 5 feet and hit the ground. Also, a lot of times, after trying a few shots, if I point the barrel to the ground, a few bbs will fall out. I cleaned everything out and that didn't seem to be the problem, but I noticed that the hop up bucking seems to almost look like it has been stretched a bit at the opening.(pictures included) Could my issue be that I need a new hop up bucking? if not, any other suggestions?
  6. I've been trying to get the gear box out of a jg ak74u (1011 model) but a small pin on the screw that holds the selector switch has me stalled, has anyone encountered this before? And if so, what do I do to remove it?
  7. hey guys so I short stroked two teeth off sector gear and (by mistake) short stroked 3 teeth off full steel piston rack. now I'm using an m130 and IM STILL GETTING OVERSPIN. any idea of how to fix this? By the way, I'm running an 11.1v. due to m130, the 7.4v wont cut it
  8. guys I'm on the verge of tears. I have spent well over $300 on my build and just got a new motor by asg not too long ago. I'm going to tennessee tomorrow and I need answers. my motor will stop working randomly and I can't take it apart. Here is a video please answer
  9. hey guys so I got a bit of a problem. my ak has almost perfect shimming with sound from the bevel and pinion from the gearbox. the bevel and pinion are meshing perfectly. but the problem is the bevel gear is rubbing on the bottom of the gb. it has about 1.5mm of play. should I add about another .1mm of shims on the bottom? because I'm trying to get the least amount of noise out of my gb. the reason I heard this sound is going from an 11.1v to 7.4v. I mean I'm going to use 9.6v nimh most of the time and I don't want the noise I'm hearing right now.
  10. Hey all, I believe I used to have a account here before I joined up with the military a couple years back and unfortunately totally forgot about my other account. Anywho....I'm looking to get one of the Beta project's Cheytac m200's and I am trying to see whether I can find a spring that would increase the fps limit on the rifle because for a sniper rifle, bolt action and all, 350-380 fps is trash and I am looking for any way possible to improve it. I know they have the Co2/gas version out there, but that shoots 600-700fps and that is way to hot to play on any kind of field in California. Unless it could be downgraded to where it could shoot around 500-550 fps that would be nice. I tried talking to Evike tech support and they don't carry any spring that would work with the rifle. Any ideas?
  11. hey guys so I just build a very nice gb with some spare and new parts. I put everything together with a nano ssr mosfet, dual signal setup with included wires, with 16 awg wire. new trigger contacts shs piston, pistonhead that came with it, double O-ring cylinder head, double O-ring air nozzle, stock cyma cylinder, maple leaf 75 degree bucking, madbull 6.03 407mm tightbore, ics gears, shimmed perfect except for bevel gear which is tight on pinion gear, perfect compression and aoe. sounds great (except for b-p shimming as I stated before). oh and the motor is a cyma high torque modified. I see sparks directly under the plastic bell. is this normal????? I modified the motor as in the male connector broke off so I had to use another bell off of another CYMA motor. could this have caused the sparks?? or do I need a new motor???

  14. Have you ever had the problem of a g36 gearbox breaking down, or you wanted to purchase a v3 gearbox shell to put into a g36? Well this guide will teach you how to do exactly that. WARNING: THIS GUIDE IS FOR INTERMEDIATE AND ABOVE TECHS. What you will need: G36 safety latch cover , g36 trigger assembly or SPEED trigger assembly , g36 tappet plate, g36 selector plate. g36 wiring harness. (I haven't seen yet a g36 with a wire set up like an ak), a g36 motor cage and a short type motor the wire holder (optional) . g36 air nozzle (optionaly you can use the specific g36 cylinder head along with this for maximum performance) The selector switch assembly and the selector latch from a g36. First step. Get your g36 gearbox that broke down. Then get your v3 gearbox of your choosing. (this is for most but not all g36's as in a kwa may not work due to some proprietary parts (they have jg parts on evike so it's all good.)) Second, unscrew the safety latch cover from the g36 gb. put it on the v3 as shown in the first photo. there may be compatibility issues due to the corner being too tall for the v3 gearbox. ive fixed that by adding a longer screw in the middle.. I will be dremelling it down later Step 3: add the selector plate as shown in photo 3 above. I recommend taking off the COL (cut off lever) beforehand to make it much easier. Step 4: take your gearset. shim it (of course). Step 5: wire the gun to the wiring harness so that there is no confusion in the future. Step 6: Put gun together. There you have it. something I and many other v3 gb techs have been wondering for years how to do until I made a breakthrough today.
  15. Does anyone know if where I could go to start learning upgrades/repairs, because im really interested in learning
  16. I recently got a JG EBB 1020 (box name is as74u) It shoots completely fine but when I select it on full auto and hold the trigger it only shoots as if it was in semi automatic mode and when I put it in semi automatic mode it performs how its supposed to. It wont shoot fully automatic in the selected fully automatic mode. When I flick the selector switch around I can put it into safety and switch it directly into fully automatic mode and hold the trigger and it will (sometimes) shoot fully automatic like its supposed to but when I let off the trigger and try and hold it down again it will only shoot one and it will continue to only shoot one. Its not the batteries ive used 2 different stick type batteries that are compatible with the gun (only stick type batteries are compatible with the gun anyway) Any thoughts? It doesnt look like an electrical problem but I don't know exactly but then again mechanically everything sounds and performs fine except the fully automatic mode. Even when it does shoot fully automatic it sounds and shoots perfectly. Im not a nube to airsoft but im kind of a nube to the technician side of airsoft. I need help please, thank you
  17. Hello again ASF, Looking to build a we tech m4 and I have about over 50% of what I need. Here is mostly what I am looking for... Charging Handle Bolt Rear Pin w/ Spring Set Selector Switch Forward Assist w/ Spring I may possibly be interested in just a complete upper receiver and/or a empty lower receiver w/ selector switch included. Also interested in gas only magaines. Offer up! Thank you for your time, Chris
  18. Hey guys, so about this time last year, honestly it's been so long I've lost track, I was contacted by MazMaz aka James from Colorado about teching on my guns. He gave me several life hardships so I cut him some slack BUT I have yet to receive my guns back...at this point I can only hope someone from Colorado knows him and gets him to ship my stuff back and as far as I know he's stopped airsofting and teching all together. But, beware of anyone from Colorado selling you the following items: G&P zombie lower with and upgraded gb - I did not ship him my upper Tienly 45000 rpm motor - brand spanking new and a complete lower XCR, again didn't ship hope up or barrel front assembly. At this point there's not much I can do but hope there's a good samaritan that can get through to him or knows of the items that I listed above. again, as always, be careful who you send your guns to. 4 years of airsofting and this is the first time I've had something like this happen so they aint all bad out there : ).
  19. Just a quick little video I (well, my girlfriend technically) shot, not sure if mags jamming in the magwell upon reload is an issue for a lot of people, but it sure was an issue for me. Here's a quick fix I came up with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5yQg53kmZk Schematic: http://imgur.com/w4DCquv There are spacers out there for LCT AKs that fix this exact issue, but because the CYMA already has "half" of a spacer there, you will have to remove your standard spacer to then use an LCT spacer, as well as having to pay money for it in the first place. This circumvents that, plus you can make it yourself out of anything you want and it's free, provided your "hands don't grow out your butthole" (as we Russians say).
  20. I have an A&K M249 that has suddenly stopped feeding. I put in a new air nozzle, replaced the wires with some thicker gauge wires, a weaker spring, and a faster motor. After reassembling, it couldn't feed. I replaced the air nozzle with the old one, because I noticed the hopup/inner barrel didn't line up with the feeding tube (ramp?). That didn't work. HOWEVER, when I pushed the barrel forward a bit, it fed. Any ideas as to how I can fix this without resorting to glue washers to my gearbox to shim the barrel? Anyone suffer similarly?
