Vsr Barrel Length And Upgrade

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I want to purchase a JG Bar10 and upgrade it to the max. Now I have some question for you.

How much difference is laylax 430mm and PDI 554mm 6,01 regarding the accurate?Do I need a boreup for PDI barrel or can I use the laylax teflon? I read that the Piston O ring of the laylax is a piece of :pain:. Is the O ring from JG better?

thx in advance

Getting towards the end of your question I have almost no clue what you are talking about. But I'll try to decipher what you are asking.

Difference between the Laylax 430mm and PDI 554mm 6.01 is:

1. Lengths of the barrels

2. Quality and tolerance of the barrels...PDI is better

No, you don't need a boreup cylinder set for the PDI barrel. Yes you can use a laylax teflon cylinder, it has nothing to do with the barrel you are using.

As for the last question....I have no idea what you are talking about.

go with the pdi barrel if you want more accuracy. Go with the laylax one if you want more power/range. I would recommend getting a 430mm pdi barrel.... although people have told me that they actually prefer the laylax 6.03 over the pdi 6.01. I personally have only tried the pdi 430mm 6.05 which is effective in the field and a whole lot cheaper than the 6.01. I like the shorter length of the 430 length because it keeps the rifle more compact= greater mobility.

thx for the fast reply

sorry for my bad english.

Regarding the barrels: Is their much accuracy difference about the both barrels? why does laylax have more power/range??? PDI should be more power/ange/accuracy.

in short word: is the different length of the barrel notice able?

thx alot

I personally own the laylax 6.03 barrel, its a good barrel for the money but im not really satisfied with its accuracy due to the fact that the barrel has low tolerances. I soon will be ordering a pdi 6.01 barrel from airsoft atlanta so I will be able to give a comparison of the two. Actually you would be getting more power out of the pdi 6.01 because it has a tighter internal diameter thus a higher fps, but no doubt that pdi barrels are better, they have very high tolerances. As far as the bore up you don't need it , but it does help if you want to go that route. There doesn't seem to be any info on the positive gains of going bore up, it seems like people just go bore up and don't compare it to normal cylinder diameter which would be helpful because I too wonder how significant of a gain in performance it makes. if someone here that has gone bore up could clear this up it would be nice.
