What the heck did I get?

Recommended Posts

I was at my local thrift store, and made an impulse purchase of a non-modular MARPAT chest rig. It looks just like this:

It has OD clippy-thingy's. It has absolutely no markings designating a brand.

What brand is it? (My best guess is OE tech)

Sorry... I suppose this is in the wrong forum section...

it does look like an oe tech but OE usually has some way to tell the brand on their gear. you may have gotten a chinese rig. what did you pay for it?

$25 was the price on the hand-written tag. The old guy at the counter said that they issued it to marines (I am having trouble believing that, as marines tend to wear coyote brown vests.

For $25 you can bet that it is not real gear. I'd guess some basic China gear.

EDIT: Yup, looks like Condor/OE Tech. This is it.

That's a fine rig if you don't treat it too harshly and it satisfies your needs.

Well, It has done that and more. It fits my mags, water bottle, and misc, stuff perfectly. My BB bottle even fits well in the radio pouch. I'm glad that I did not get a molle vest, as I would have had it in this configuration anyway.

<AT>Zed8: Yes! that's it!
