This is currently a W.I.P. (Work in Progress). If we missed a field, please send Gibbs a PM with all the information!

North Georgia

Georgia Airsoft (Athens)

Type of Gameplay: CQB and Woods

Website: http://georgiaairsoft.com/

Location: http://georgiaairsoft.com/directions.html

Play Days: Every other Sunday (Will be every Sunday starting in January)

Field Fee: $15

Rentals Available? No

Usual # of people: It varies. 20-50

Brief Overview: This is a great field for those that are close to Athens. You will get a great mix of CQB and Woodland combat. The CQB is fast, hard and will never be the same twice. The field is large enough that the action can spread out a bit, but not so large that you spend more time walking than in firefights. Georgia Airsoft offers 4 different playing fields with bunkers, cabins, towers, the CQB Town, 2 Forts and Bunker Hill Complex. New buildings, structures, and improvements are added to the field throughout the year.

Metro Atlanta

Team Airsoft (GeorgeTown)

Type of Gameplay: Field/Woodland

Location: http://www.teamairsoft.com/home/directions/directions.htm

Play Days: Every Saturday, unless there is a Sunday game.

Field Fee: $15

Rentals Available? Yes

Usual # of people: 50-70

Brief Overview: GeorgeTown is a great field. It is so large, you will never use the whole field for 1 game. This is a good thing though! The more you play there, the more you will appreciate the different types of gametypes you can run at this very versatile field. Catch and Hold, Assault, Deathmatch, it all happens here!

Area 13 Airsoft

Type of Gameplay: Field

Website: http://area13airsoft.com

Location: 640 Kelly Farm Rd // Newnan, GA 30265

Play Days: ??

Field Fee: This is a club based field, you pay once a year and play all you want.

Rentals Available? ??

Usual # of people: ??

Brief Overview: I will need someone else to do an overview on this field. I have not gotten a chance to make it out more then 1 or 2 times.

Gold Eagle Airsoft

Type of Gameplay: CQB

Website: http://www.airsoftindoorarena.com/

Location: Discover Mills

Play Days: Every Day

Field Fee: $16 all day pass

Rentals Available? Yes

Usual # of people: Weekdays: 20-30, Weekends: 30-60

Brief Overview: This field has really stepped up since they hired the new head ref. He has improved safety and this field is now safe to play. I will say that this field is very crowded after a few people come. You can comfortably hold 20 or 25 MAX. But they tend to allow 50 players on at once. When this happens, just sit in the back and wait for all the first rush of BBs to come. YOU WILL GET HIT if you try to move up when that many people are playing. Field is rather small (20,000 sq feet), maybe the size of SAC, but not separated into rooms. The bunkers are NOT anchored down and they will move. Even though I am a small person, I managed to bump the entire house bunker back 5-6 feet not even trying to. Other then that, you will have a great experience.

Arkenstone Airsoft

Type of Gameplay: CQB/Field/Urban

Website: http://www.georgiapaintball.com or Arkenstone Facebook Page

Location: Acworth

Play Days: Varies (Check Website for next play day)

Field Fee: $18

Rentals Available? Soon to have rentals

Usual # of people: 25-70

Brief Overview: Arkenstone is new to the Airsoft scene, but a veteran to the paintball community. They only have hosted 3 games thus far which has become a huge hit in the Acworth/ Woodstock area. The fields rules per Arkenstones insurance policy is as follows: 400 FPS and under for AEG's/ 500 FPS and under for Spring Sniper Rifles w/ a 100' Engagement Distance/ Sealed Goggles (Mesh or sealed Shooting/ safety Glasses) must be worn over the eyes (lower face is optional)/ Ear Protection is required (Ear Muffs, Scarf, Shemaugh, Etc.) They have a base station store located on Barret Parkway in Kennesaw that sells all your airsoft needs. The field and parking is right off the main road in Acworth. Bathrooms, Food and drinks available, Charging stations for batteries, Covered staging areas, Super Ref Staff, The field store has basic airsoft needs such as BB's, masks and etc, They are going to start renting Airsoft Guns in the future. The field total is roughly 24 acres. It is a perfect skirmish field and is loaded with extras. One being the City they built called "Dodge City". This is a small city that has multi-level buildings that is perfect for a close quarters shoot-out. Moving down to the end of the 24 acres you will find the "Castle". This is a fort with multiple entries including a underground tunnel, also with towers that you can get up in with also the 3 story main tower in the middle of the castle. Through out the field you will find tons of natural cover, sandbag bunkers, small buildings, Trenches and etc.

Savannah crew now plays on Fort Stewart with 5 fields to choose from, one of which we haven't walked but it is HUGE!!! We should start holding ops on that one sometime in December. Hopefully the Corp of Engineers can get the bid on the new 20 acre CQC field, 20 acre pilot down field and a man made hill . Since we have been palying on Sundays we have full use of all fields. Only down fall is we have to $5.00 but that goes towards upkeep of the facilities and the port-a-jon.

DragonGuard, that does not help. I need more info. I cannot magically summon information in my head. At least a website or something would help.

This is from their website: http://www.airdogairsoft.com/index.php

I've never been there but I live near it apparently and heres what I got from their website:

General safety is just that, general. Nothing special that you wouldn't find at a place like Georgetown. One exception I found is that only players under the age of 16 need a waver signed by a parent, every one older I guess can do it them selves. And players 12 and under need an adult playing with them. GAME PLAY: FPS limits are 420 for aeg's and 550 for BA's and SEMI AUTO DMR's. MED is 15' and 50' respectively.Of course there is the standard full seal eye protection is recommended but apparently required along with a face mask for players under 16. I don't know if they rent guns, didn't see it anywhere on their website but they might. This can all be found on their website listed at the beginning of the post so I won't spend too much time on these so I don't misquote them.

I think I might be trying this place out myself once I get my gun fixed.

EDIT: Looks like they also have a walk in store, I don't know how good it is as afar as selection goes but if you live on the south side it could save you a trip to Norcrosse

Last weekend I got over to the gold eagle air soft. I didn't really like the field layout. The scheme is very monotonous throughout. The game types are as follows. Single elimination, 3 life, medic, and capture the flag. Though it's safe to note that the refs won't play CTF due to the large amount of cheating. Also make sure when doing 3 life you go behind the main bunker before tagging in.

It says to shoot you a pm, but don't know much about this place or airsoft in general.

I'm a newbie transitioning from paintball to airsoft, but from the pat two experiences at unit airsoft.. it's been pretty good.

People are friendly, game play is fast and smooth. I enjoyed it.

I thought I would update this thread with a new field in North Georgia, North Atlanta about 10 miles outside the perimeter at I85 and hwy 120.

Airsport

Type of Gameplay: CQB style with a unique sports twist........ not like any other field out there.

Website: PlayAirSport

Location: Sugarloaf Mills Mall previously Discover Mills Mall

Play Days: Every Day

Field Fee: $15 all day pass with own equipment

Rentals Available? Yes

Usual # of people: Weekdays: 20-30, Weekends: 30-60

Brief Overview.

Forget every kind of Airsoft/Paintball game you ever played, this place is different. It is not speedball , CQB or milsim, it is a new game altogether conceived and brought to us by the owner, Paul Skowronski. The active playing field is on a quarter acre of astroturf style carpet with large reconfigurable lego blocks as obsticles. Unlike other games realtime score is kept on a large sports style countdown board reminiscent of what you would see in a basketball gym.

Beside the normal deathmatch type play at most indoor Airsoft Arenas we have a few other ways to make points on the field. Elimination of an opposing player with a bb hit will get your side one point. Elimination of an opposing player with a dodgeball will get your team three points. If you catch that dodgeball your team gets three points and the thrower is eliminated.

Throwing that dodgeball into the opposing teams goal will get you three points and if you can throw the medicine ball into the goal you will earn 7 points for your team. Slamdunking the dodgeball into the field basketball goal will also get your team 7 points.

Pulling your opponents flag-football style flag belt will get you 10 points, so shooting him in the back for one point may not be your best strategy when you can pull that flag and eliminate them for higher points.

We have a party room with a view of the field and a 30 foot observation window in the mall so lots of people can watch.

We have youth and adult leagues once a week for 8 weeks

Change up your game and come out and give Airsport a try.

Peace

Phil
