After researching all the AKs you wonderful people provided me with, I came across these, Im getting kind of sick of trying to find someone to hit a guy that is too far for my Thompson to go, and these are what Ive narrowed it down to.

Im most concerned about range, so any suggestions or previous experience would be nice.

If anyone knows of any Famas's or Galils that are good with range and in the $150-$200 range that would be appreciated, and yes I know Im a rifle Newbie.

I know someone who has a 048 from CYMA...it has pretty impressive range stock, and using some good .25g bb's he can hit man sized targets out to around 160 feet. This is because of the high FPS and the longer barrel. And CYMA uses 6.04mm barrels in their AEG's.

Not only that...but the 048 is dead sexy....very nice replica, very good externals, looks more like a VFC than a CYMA... And CYMA's new internals are nothing short of amazing...

+1. Out of the box, the 048 is going to be your best bet out of those four. With some serious upgrading, the AUG would outgun it, but we're not just talking about slipping in a new bucking and nub (there are a couple of recent threads out there on JG AUG).

If you are so concerned about range, a $6 Systema bucking, and a $6 SCS nub, in any gun will add a good 20 feet of maximum effective range.

I agree with jonathan, while my personal preference would be the lr300, that's based solely on looks and it will require upgrades to match its competitors, the best out of box performance is going to to the 048
