don't know if this is a good idea. just thought of making a poll with some not so easy choices that are desputed here and there. remember this is based on opinions.

BBs afffect your accuracy more then anything. So doesn't matter if you have a super orgasmic barrel, but your using Matrix .2s, you probably won't have that much accuracy verses a stock barrel and some (interset good BBs here) in a stock barrel.

 

Inner barrels do increase your FPS a bit if you were using the right cylinder I've heard stories of it increasing accuracies, range, ROF, etc. but nothing that can be proven or repeated.

 

I've seen them, I wouldn't use them in a tightbore barrel but you could. Look at what I just said up above.

 

As for the meaning of life, I truely believe it's Modern Warfare 2 to. It has been the best game so far in the franchinse and the most balanced, realistic (feel, looking, and sounding), and awesome game I have every played. I seriously can't wait for Black Ops. I mean, there's a mission wheree you fly a Hind! Finally, a game showing of some Navy SEAL's real ability, not like other games where it takes hour and hours to just find a guy a one shot to kill (cough ArmA 2). I mean heard a Navy SEAL took at least 7 bullets before he died and another who crawled 9 miles with a broken back! I ranted enough, long live MW2.

I think you have this all backwards.

 

A 6.03 tightbore significantly increases performance, the one thing that gives you better groupings past 100 feet is yes, only Oprah can tell you what gives you better performance within 100 feet, and crosman bbs are only safe to use in short tight bores.

After a crapload of research I've found that the thinkers of the mechanical airsoft world agree that LENGTH of the inner barrel does not make a gun more accurate, past a certain length.

 

Reasoning? Because the BB takes a number of millimeters to attain stabilization. After it stabilizes, it would be best to exit the barrel as soon as possible. This stabilization apparently happens after a pretty short length. Having a barrel that's too long may cause the BB to hit the sides of the barrel, disrupting it's stabilization.

 

Make sense?

 

Also, a hundredth of a millimeter for the inner diameter of a barrel is very, very, very, very small. Most machines that make the barrels can't really be that accurate, lol. It can pretty much be called an advertising scheme, except for the slight majority of people who end up with a correctly sized barrel.

So I guess if you have the luck and the money, you might as well try using a tightbore. Even if it's correctly machined, it will still barely increase your accuracy (if the BB goes where you aim) or groupings (if your BB constantly go in the same path and hit the same area).

 

Because of all these miniscule amounts of upgrade in the performance of your gun through different barrels, it's better to just work on your hop up rather than your barrel.

OH, and BBs too. Obviously if your BB is dented or chipped or messed up in any way, you will not be as accurate or precise.

 

P.S. there's a difference between accuracy and precision.
