Upgrade UTG L96 range

Recommended Posts

Okay so I have now upgraded my UTG L96 with a madbull v2 6.03 tightbore, PDI hop up chamber, prom soft bucking, new piston ingternals(metal, and an M170 spring.

I am using (temporarily, until my .40s arrive) .28gram BBs and it shoots amazingly far and accurately for the amount of upgrades I put into it and considering it is using such light BBs. I can hit a torso from 280' about 3/5 times. I would like to think that the amount of time I've spent tuning this gun has made this range possible, but still I'm not so sure. Are these normal results? Can anyone clarify? I feel as if it's much better than I expected. (I'M NOT COMPLAINING!!!!!!!!) XD

In two weeks when I get back from vacation and after my BBs arrive I'll post up a video of it shooting 90+ yards.

Why are you using a soft bucking? Unless you are shooting at a low fps you should use a hard bucking. Anyways, you should try the flat-hop mod, should give you slightly better range and accuracy.

If you search around a bit, you will see that many high-fps setups use soft buckings because they have better consistency than hard-type buckings. They wear out more quickly than hard-types obviously, but we all know as snipers that consistency is very important.

well all you need for accuracy upgrades is a new barrel hop up and bucking. When I had my L96, I got it to shoot 250 feet when it was properly tuned. also, while 3/5 hits at a torso sized target may seem impressive, but keep in mind that there will be some people behind cover, leaving only their head's exposed. that is a completely different story. also my friend's AGM l96 can hit torso sized targets easily 200' after I did the G-Hop mod.

And then there are people who have guns that can hit a coconut size target at 300 feet......

no one hate the soft buckings....haha they are the best, may need replacing more often, but yield better results.

Yea, that's true.

Made my G-hop out of soft bucking.

But I'll end up making one out of hard bucking for durability....
