I am pretty new to airsoft and I am considering one of two guns. Either the G&G Combat Machine M4 Raider or the JG M4 S-System Enhanced Version. They seem pretty similar and cost almost the same on airsoftgi. Though the JG comes with a battery however I can afford a battery and charger if need be. So does anyone have any experience with these two? Are there huge differences? Which should I get?

Im also looking for something I can possibly upgrade inside and out later on.

Ok so I am looking to buy my forst real airsoft gun and I really want an M4. My budget is about 200 give or take. So my choices are between the G&G Combat Machine M4 Raider and ghe JG M4 S-System Enhanced Version. They seem very similar and cost almost the same. Are there any major dofferences between the two? Does one have better internals or externals?

S System isn't very modular as far as aftermarket exterior parts goes, that being said forget them both. Buy this. It's suuuuch a good gun for the money and a great base for any project.

I will really look into that gun it seems great though I really like having a full rail system. Is there a full rail full metal M4 for under 200 you can think of? If not I will decide on what I want more a full metal body with more fps or external accessories. Though it seems pretty simple. Lol Anyone else?

There are these two:

Also please do not post the same thread more than once. You posted this twice on this subforum. ASF rules state that only if your question goes unanswered for a week can you repost the thread.

Thanks and sorry. Can the shroud on the Colt be re-placed with a rail system later on if I so choose? Like I said I am still pretty new to airsoft so I don't know some of these things. If it can be then I may just go with the colt and add a rail system later on when I have some more money.

It probably can considering m4 and m16 are the most common airsoft gun out there.

I recommend the G&G raider though. It is plastic but to be hones most metal guns in that price range are made of pot metal and arent any more durable anyways. That and the G&G will way less. With that said I recommend if your dieing and have to have a metal one go with the jg. The jg company has a lot better quality control then dboys *usually*. No matter what yu buy though your gong to want to open the gearbox to reshim and relube. So rather then looking for the one that has rails and is metal. Why not look for one thats easy to disassemble and reasemble. That way you wont mess it up when you want to upgrade it to how you want your gun to be.

With all that said I also don't like evike but thats a different story.

If you want a ton of rail space get this. Allows for great customization http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?...roducts_id=2888

If you insist on full metal then get this. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=6151 It also comes with rails which are nice. Its a stubby m4 though so if you ever went to a CQB field it would do great. Also easy to manuever in the woods. I personally never liked the full size m4...

Thanks for the suggestions however I have anoyher question, this time about a Javelin gun. I don't know how good they are but I heard they have upped their work a bit and are better than before. Don't know how reliable or upgradeble they are though which is my question. Are they good with aftermarket upgrades or should I keep looking until I find something upgradeable and that I'm happy with?

In particular I was looking at the Javelin Full Metal M4 CQB with Electric Blowback.

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=9404

Otherwise I am just looking for a decently upgradeable, reliable M4 (variant) for under $200. I am trying to keep it under 200 because I will need to buy a battery, smart charger and BB's so my gun limit aside from all that is abnout 200 give or take. Just so I don't go over 300 with the total price. Also preferably CQB because I really don't know how I feel about lugging around a full size M4

Also been looking at this one. I like that the charge handle works unlike the M4 Raider and it has guards for the rail which is kind of nice. Just don't know how reliable or upgradeable JG is so if anyone can help me out with that it'd be great..

can you post a link on where to get this G&G specimen you speak of? I'm in the exact same situation this poor fellow is in and am having an internal debate over G&G M4 vs JG M4 and need it for under 200 preferably shooting around 375fps with .23's I play mainly woodball. Rail system isnt all that necessary for me. if I want to upgrade it will be internally so it would also be nice to have something that a Newbie can learn the ins and outs of fairly easily.

in my eperience G&g is way better. mabye because I bought my JG on hobbytron and it was a ak-47. But if your budget is 200$ I would by far get the g&g combat machine by the magpul handguards and put rails on that. thats 190$ and you have a long lasting gun with good internals and a light gun which will last along time in light airsoft playing. the body is plastic but thats fine. also yo get about 30$ off you purchase due to coupons.

Thank you for the inputs! :D I looked into this. from what I found its a good gun. I don't play airsoft much at all, (maybe once/month) but I still like having something to shoot stuff with ;) I found this on airsplat. comes with a tightbore installed. It's exactly like the older version just with blowback (couldnt find one without BB...)

if any of you have experiance with it, further input is always nice.....like would any1 no if its fairly simple to learn to take apart and mod on my own :p
