1911 mark iv

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My budget is around $200

I play alone indoor: target practice mostly

I like good looks/feeling/quality/accuracy, gas blowback.

This seems like a good choice: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/catalog/product...0/category/187/ ( Tokyo Marui Government Mark IV Series 70 )

I wonder if:

- I can get from a usa supplier, no red thingie (faster shipping)

- where you guys get the gas (10 weeks from china is long) and which

- if thats a good choice

thanks!

You would be hard pressed to find that in US retailer. Many do not carry TM guns any more, and if they do, it is a smaller selection. EHA is a great site to order from and shipping doesn't take a long time.

You can just buy a small canister of Propane (the ones for the Coleman grills) from your local Wally World. You just need to buy an adapter like this one.

TM is an excellent choice.

thanks

I actually had doubts because ive an old spring 1911 80% metal that looks the same, and its not all that fun to have the same gun

I don't like glock look too much

I saw many hicapa and other 1911 based designs, but then I wanted something a little more special, so I took a WE hi capa 7" and hope itll be close enough to TM quality wise

Hate to be the one to break it to you, but it wont be. The WE rattles, is a gas hog, uses cheap metal, and break quickly. It pales in comparison to the quality of the TM.

Just reporting.. I'm rather happy with the WE.

2 screws were lose (?!) but once tightened the gun is solid, nothing moves.

It's accurate too, probably thanks to the 7 inches barrel. The mechanics look strong too. I'm sure the TM would be higher quality but the WE is what I expected (from what I've read this one gun might be an exception, even after a few years people appeared happy with the quality)

Now the bad: I got an extra WE mag and the bb loader part broke for no reason. The other one's fine. Might get a better mag.
