Spring Upgrade for Sniper Rifle

Recommended Posts

To be honest, sniping in airsoft is for the advanced player and is misused by a lot of newer players that think sniping means running around the field with a 600 fps gun and taking people out from 1000 yds away. If you have to ask "can it be done" or "I need more velocity" then you probably shouldnt have a sniper rifle in the first place.

Back to your question, yes, it CAN be done but WHY would you want to? You're going to have to reinforce everything in your gun and MAYBE then it will last a few weeks before something breaks. I'll let you in on a little secret: more velocity does not always equal more range or accuracy. And btw its not really a secret its just overlooked by most people here in the U.S.

The hop up, nub, barrel, and compression will mostly determine range and accuracy.

You "can" put that spring in, but with that big increase in power you will need to replace some of the internal parts to handle the increased stress.

You would need to at the very least reinforce your sears. But I would forget about it unless your main focus is accuracy from a distance and not fps for range...fps is not the biggest factor in distance...fps is how fast your bb will get to the end of its firing arc.

So if you do plan on taking the role a little more seriously...you'll find out that the spring is THE LAST part to upgrade.
