Looking for an electric glock

Recommended Posts

The title states it all. Some stuff that I would like the gun to come with:

- Don't really care if it has "blowback", but I guess it's kind of cool if it does. Functionality is more important to me.

- High build quality, obviously.

- I want to it be a pretty good glock replica. Meaning I would like it to look as realistic as possible.

- Hop-up. Prefer adjustable but fixed will do.

The only one I can seem to find is the $9.99 one off of airsplat (http://www.airsplat.com/Items/EP-JLS-GLK-2011.htm), but it looks like it's junk and is meant more for kids.

AEP's do not have blow-back.

High build quality? That is not cheap...TM are expensive. CYMA are cheap...but they are available. Airsoftstation.com has a few.

The only good compromise here is a G18C AEP by TM or CYMA (CM.030).

If you want as realistic as possible, you'll need to look for a GBB Glock replica instead. If you choose electric you have to sacrifice some realism, such as metal externals, 1:1 dimensions, trigger safety, takedown, and blowback.

Don't get any "electric blowback" pistols, those are not too great for regular play as compared to an AEP.

The only aep's worth any money in my opinion are the tokyo marui ones, the CYMA ones that I have had have broken in almost no time ( this was ussally small plastic parts in the fire selector which I found easy to fix but working on aep's is a punishment I wish upon my enemies)

You can find them on a lot of Asian airsoft sites

Before I give you the links and you buy one let me say a few things. I have gone down the road of aep's so far that I have a custom made aep. I must say that they are great, a Lot of fun, easy to use and very reliable. However they a very bad for actuall combat and I will list why

1 Horrible trigger response ( CYMA are so awful I can't describe it)

2 tiny mags ( this can be a plus side since ammo density but I find them very strange in that they don't fit any gear and get lost easily)

3 low fps ( can shoot people and they will not notice very true for people in lots of gear)

4 don't have cool blowback function

They have some awesome points also

1 almost silent ( I have shoot people and they never knew where I was even at 15 feet away, with a little bit of sound absorbing material cal make them a tiny tiny pew sound )

2 low fps ( very cqb friendly, so friendly some places let me use full auto indoors since I was at 50 energy of all other pistols)

3 low fps with a good hop up ( this has its advantages on full auto since my bbs fly so slow I have people duck come back up and be hit my the bbs , ie the bbs stay in the air longer good for covering fire)

4 much cheaper to run then gun

I am not tring to say do not get a aep in most regards I love them and think more people should use them. I am just saying don't go my way and jump into one befor you consider why you want one and will it be the gun you want.

Here is the link to the gun

Or the CYMA

Will need battery, charger and some mags

The CYMA charge is crap so don't use it.

I see. Thanks for all the help guys. I guess I was asking for a bit much.

After doing some research, and from you guy's responses, it seems the only worth while AEP Glocks are the tokyo marui and the cyma. The TM obviously is the better of the 2, but way more expensive. Almost 3x as much as the cyma and that's beyond my price range.

So I think I'll just settle for the CYMA. A few questions, though. How reliable is this AEP? I have owned cyma springers in the past and they were always pretty bad. But then again, they were springers.

How's the range on this gun? I don't really care for fps since this will be mainly used for "fun", but I guess the fps will effect the range overall.

Is there a metal/more realistic slide I could purchase for the Cyma?

the body of the cyma is actually not that bad from the p226 that I have, the main difference is going to be in the motor, the bucking and over all quality control.

my p226 still works great got mine 3 years ago I think ( fire selector broke (got bent) a few time but that was a easy fix but mainly ment I was always shotting full auto) as for range I can say that it is as good as a cheap aeg once the hop up is tuned in. and with a good hop up bucking it can sail forever, my loongest kill with my p226 was 25+ feet away(never used it at longer range) as for my custom one (bucking makes a large difference) was a sniper that I arc killed on full auto at 75 -100+ feet (don't remeber all I can say is it was pure luck on my part).
