Would I need to glue that to the cylinder head? if so what would be a good adhesive?

Yes you would. Any sort of super glue/ CA glue has worked great for me. I would recommend you get the kind that does not dry instantly though. Sometimes you might want to reposition the pad shortly after gluing the two pieces together.

Yup, all you really need to do is grab some high-impact foam and (sparingly) super glue it to your cylinder head (inside of it).

Make sure you use enough to have it well secured but don't flood it, if you ever need to change it/take it off it'll be a real pain.
