neoprene vs. sorbothane

Recommended Posts

I put a scatterplot neopad on top of a sorbo bad that is glued to the cylinder head. I keep 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4, pieces of sorbo and lots of neopads available so I can build up to exactly the right thickness to correct the AOE of the gears and piston in the gun.

Peace.

How thick are the neopads?

Lets be clear, there is a matter of duro here as well. The neoprene generally used in these shock absorption applications aren't actually for absorbing shock at all, its merely a protective mat to prevent the sorbo from tearing. Super soft neoprene for shock absorption would require a similar protective mat. Rebound might be an issue with neoprene though, I honestly don't know.
