High Quality Sniper BBs

Recommended Posts

Quick poll here on how much airsoft snipers would be willing to pay for such a thing. The requirements for the BBs are:

  • 5.98mm +-.01mm
  • .43g +- .03g
  • Seamless
  • Pitless
  • Polished
  • Does not easily crack or wear off on hop-up buckings
  • Light green (lighter than Madbull .36g)

The count would be 1000 BBs.

+/- .03g? So, anywhere from .40g to .46g bbs? That's incredibly inconsistent, don't you think?

The rest sounds excellent. Would they be solid? aka, no bubbles?

How much I'd be willing to pay, probably $15+shipping for the 1000rnds.

Why 5.98? I was under the impression that everyone loved the 5.93's for their size? Is that just the new thing or was there a recent test? just curiosity.

And maybe $10-15 if I ever get done chairsofting and you're talking sgm spec.

...and all of those are either dark or not heavy enough.

Define not heavy enough.

Those SGMs work just fine with my SR-25s and Tanakas and they are white.

I can see the Straights as far as if I was to use white BBs.

Good for you, but that's not good enough for the rest of us.

We want something heavy and quality. .29s are too light, I'm talking .40+

The BBs would be solid or at least 90% of them would be air bubble free (pitless). Getting more details on weight variance. They are .43g though, not .40. The only .43g I know of on the market are black so out of the door this is a plus.

Yeah if it comes down to insanely high quality and I didn't want to go over 0.32g...

I would just use Bioval 0.30g or Bioshot 0.30g, I wouldn't even touch SGM.

I prefer Big Bore over Small bore. In our locale, 5.93 are shunned due to their nature to double stack and jam some mags and it just being to small and creating a huge gap between bore and bb for some AEG's (.1mm+)

Thing is...if you tune and play with certain spec equipment...it will work well for you, but it does not generalize to the population as a good fit for all.

Good. More for me and Edi.

To be honest...I ran SGM's in my flat-hop TK barrelled SR47 AEG, once. This was due to me running out of regular bb's...the accuracy was insane.

They would go to the airsoft gods if Star or I used them

Working on the BB weight variance issue.

Would anyone on here be willing to test out and/or review some BB samples I have? Also, lets say I got a full production batch from the OEM, would members be willing to preorder and wait up to a month for them to be shipped?

What airborne said. I'm all for trying to get a good market for high quality, heavy weight bbs. I'd like the opportunity to test them out, and if I like them, I'd be more than willing to help with a preorder.

I need two testers that are willing to do the following:

1. Test weight to +- 0.01g

2. Test diameter to +- 0.01mm

3. Test for pitting (air pockets)

4. Test for softness (sandpaper rub test, easily cracked, etc)

5. Put all test results into a review format and publish.

In return, I will give each person a free 500 round bag of BBs once pre-order quantities arrive. PM me if you think you may meet the requirements.

Any update on this?

I'm just going to wait for Action Army.

Have been using their .20~.28 for the last few months and they are better than KSC, BLS, AIM etc etc

By better I mean significantly.

I was looking at their heavy weights. They appear to be the same (at least color) to MB and KA heavy weights.
