CYMA VS Classic Army RPK

Recommended Posts

Hello, so I'm having doubts on which gun to get, as in Hong Kong, both of them are $1500 HKD ($200 USD) here.

CYMA Advantage:

-Proper RPK reciever

-Solid bolt

-Better Wood Finish

-Steel

-Internals

-Russian trademarks

-VFC style assembily

Neutral:

Cost

CA advantage:

-Comes With Drum mag

-Brand Reliability

-Normally costs double everywhere else!

So... Should I get Classic army for brand reliability and the extra drum mag or CYMA for its neumerous good reviews?

You're probably going to hate taking down any TM-style AK. Goodness knows out of the few times I've done it, that stupid battery tray was by far the worst part to get back on...

If you encounter problems on the field with it (the RPK), it's just a few pins, and a couple of screws, and you've got the gearbox out. Not fiddling with a billion screws like on the TM.

There's countless reasons to buy the CYMA over the CA, but it seems like you've done your research.

...Or you could be the "cool-kid" and wait for GHK to release its RPK GBB. :)

Thanks for all the advice! Probably will pick up the CYMA RPK soon

And also, I'd think that you can just skip the waiting if you don't get a lemon of this: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/big-dragon-gas-blow-back-converstion-kit-for-dboy-ak74-aeg.html

I don't think that would work in the CM052. Most of CYMA's AKs, and the Dboys AK have different internal parts compared to the Cyma RPK. The CYMA RPK has a realistic bolt, and bolt carrier, I believe. You could try it, though.

With a little bit of work, yes it'll work in the CYMA CM048, and the CM052 is just a modified version of the CYMA CM048:

The only off-putting things about this is that 1. There are no GBB drum mags for AKs and 2. The build quality's gonna suck, and lemons are (reportedly) common.

But when you have an LMG, your Job is to spray, and I don't thnk GBBs are really meant for that.
