any upgrades for the tri shot shotguns?

Recommended Posts

Guest alberty

TM clone in a way, though TM never made a direct Benelli M4 model like that. Functionally it's a TM spring tri-shot clone, yes.

Not really any readily-available upgrade for this system anymore. There were some piston cups and tightbores a long time ago, good luck finding them for an affordable price, and hope that they fit the clone if they're actually designed against the TM original specs.

Don't bother...when you short stroke it by accident due to the heavier spring and chip the loading nozzle...its done.

These cheap shotties were never designed to take any pressure above 300 fps with .20g anyways.

are there any spring tri shots out there that are capable of 400 fps? Im not interested In gas shotties mainly because I heard they don't last when you hpa tap them

Are you kidding? HPA on a TM M870 is just about the end all solution for the leaky (on green gas) problem because even the SAT valve doesn't work unless it's so cold that green gas has the same pressure as warm 134a. If you need something that shoots fast, you're better off with a CA870 (single shot shotguns) than an actual shotgun.

??

Here is another analogy.

Reflash the ECU on a Cummins turbo diesel to 1200bhp...what do you think is going to happen to the transmission when you mash it hard with a heavy 9 ton load on the tow hook? Something is going to break...immediately...transmission, perhaps?

That is why you cannot put 400fps springs in a DE tri-shot.

That is why the CYMA 365fps Tri-shots are internally reinforced and metalized.

Yeah...the CYMA Metal HP units hit 360-365. It allows them to sell it in the Canadian market.

There is a Mossberg Tri-shot in the works too. Again for Canadian needs and it has a pump assist grip...its quite nice. I saw the prototype.

Wait... They do? Any pics or resources? Edited by 16kuokhc1
