Joules and fps

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a gas blow-back rifle to replace and aeg I had that started to give out on me. Though this place I go to has certain limits on joules and fps I purchased a npas system for my gun in order control it. though im worried about the joules on it...is there anyway to lower the joules on a gbb rifle in case its over the limit there.the limit for guns at this place it 2 joules for dmr type weapons. I really don't want to have to return it, the gun is really fun to shoot.

Additional details are still needed.

What is the temp you play in?

What gas are you using?

Use a lower power gas for small increment changes.

To exceed 2J you would have to be playing in 110 degree heat and you would have to use R22 Refrigerant.

Propane and 90 degree heat and you would be looking at 1.5 J in 85 degree heat.

I live in texas so we play in about 80-100 degree heat and I will be using green gas for this rifle also my buddy uses propane for his gas rifle and he was hitting like 2.1joules and it was about mid 90s in the heat that day.
