A&K sr25 HPA project.

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone :rolleyes:

I am searching for as many information, ideas , tips as possible for my upcoming project.

I have an A&K SR-25 and I am waiting for the release of the Wolverine Reaper coming around april.

at the moment I am choosing between

* Prometheus R-hop barrel 509MM / MODIFY Precision Inner barrel.

* Mad bull Red bucking ( any other ideas?)

* SR-25 Nozzle

* Hop-Up unit???

This is where my question comes. anyone has expierence with different hop-ups for the sr-25? do hop-ups

like Prowin etc fit in the SR-25?

Other then this I am still looking / reading around. So if any of you guys have some ideas or tips I would love to hear it :meh:

Update: Read that the Lonex hop-up does the job well for the SR-25. any expierence with this?

You are picking a difficult platform to convert over to HPA. It's already difficult as an AEG...

Madbull Hop-up Packings are dated and not as good as modern hop-up packing. That whole fishbone, u-thingy was more gimmick than effective physical improvements. The best drop in set now is Maple Leaf Packings and Nubs.

If you hop-up is intact, operating and not backing off when shot...keep using it. Pro-Win offer very little other than it's a back dial unit and its CNC.

R-Hoping limits your bb and fps range. Since you have an adjustable gas system, I would suggest you stay with a broadly adjustable hop-up sytem. Maple Leaf combos have been documented to hit ~93 yards in HPA systems without the need of R-Hop
