TM M&P 9 metal slide stuck on the way back

Recommended Posts

I just upgraded my TM M&P 9 V with a Nova metal slide and some UAC part but now, as you can see, the slide get stuck on the way back after each shot, so I have to manually push it back.

I don't know if it's because of the UAC part I put (sear, hammer, hammer spring) in the frame but I found out that the slide get stuck at some point when the hammer bearing touch the blow back unit.

On the BBU, the hammer bearing get stuck on the metal part on the right of the nozzle (see on the picture).

So anybody have an idea of how I could fix this ? Maybe sand the metal part on the BBU ? Also I lubed all the parts well enough but it's still too tight to slide freely.

I changed some parts like the hammer, the sear with the spring and the hammer spring.

I noticed that the slide gets tight when the hammer bearing meets the "bump" on the BBU, which helps the hammer to be cocked.

I don't know how to fix this, maybe a 150% recoil spring would help ? I already changed it with an improved one from UAC but it doesn't seem to be strong enough.

Don't listen to Reddit Airsoft Techs. They are not as experienced as the ones on Forums.

The reason it won't work is that due to your binding issue. If your gun is binding...a stronger recoil spring will Not help your binding issue.

That is like saying, my brakes on my car are binding, so I will install bigger fuel injectors to give the engine more gas.

GBBs are an entire system. You can't just toss parts at it to fix it. You have to make it ALL work together. Many aftermarket arts are NOT upgrades either...in some cases its a downgrade.

A perfectly aligned pistol without a spring guide will allow the slide to flow back and forth on the lower frame. If its not flowing...its not put together correctly.
